Brentford (H) | Post-Match Thread

The only good thing out of the first part of the Premier League is Liverpool are miles off, and we can bank 10 points above them,

I hate the manager coming out and say we are very knackered ? Well, use your bench more
you can use half of the 10 outfield players if you like, it's not like we don't have quality on the bench

pretty much nailed on today, we would get found out because it's been 3 or 4 weeks like this and pep defending them
I missed the after match interview.I turned over.

Did he really say the players are knackered ?

If "Yes" then it is even more bizarre.......because it means he saw the players were struggling and still didn't make changes.

He really is difficult to understand.

I don't understand why Dias doesn't start as he's the best defender. Anyways...well played Brentford.
To be fair, hes been pretty dodgy lately. I would have thought akanji could handle the physical Toney but in hindsight it was a game for Dias.
a bit disappointed in akanji today. also, thought he was fast?

Credit to Brentford they could have scored 4 or 5. Days like today you realise how important Walker is against teams who counter attack, his pace was sorely missed. Disappointed that Grealish didn't get on, with Phil going over to the right, or Mahrez coming on, we clearly needed to try something different, as we lacked width, it was all a bit to congested centrally.

On the packed tram home now. Fucking dreadful from start to finish. A few of us called a Brentford winner and sadly we were right Anti football but they deserved it and could have scored more. Ref atrocious as per normal. We're going to need a plan B for when they nullify Haaland.like today. Too many off the pace, last week we got away with it, this week not. It's going to be a fucking long six weeks now.
