Brentford (H) | Post-Match Thread

Dreadful. We never did enough to be worthy of the win today. Some many players not at it today. A mystery why Pep left it till 85 minutes to make a change. He should have made at least 3 changes on 70 minutes. Haaland clearly far from fit and never threatened. Brentford stuck to their plan and today we had no answer to it.

I thought we did enough in that game to have won it twice. Nobody was really on song, and yer get a team who are hell bent hoofers, dedicated to gross time-wasting, know that PiGMOL doesn't give a flying fuck how much time is pissed up the stadium wall, blatant pens waved away by a VAR system that is gonna confirm their mate's first decision as the correct one.

Even @twosips couldn't put a gloss on it on his youtube channel. You know when that happens, it must have been poor. He's possibly (and all credit to him for it) the most "glass half full" City fan in the strange world of the internet.

Good afternoon Steve, and belated congrats to you and Nicola on the arrival ofyour new son.

Worst performance I have seen for a very long time.

All on Pep. What the fuck was he watching.

Akanji was comical, beaten to every header and positionally all over the shop. Soft as shit.

Phil was crap again wide left, goal notwithstanding.

As for putting him at left-back with Bernie for the set-pieces in the dying minutes, the writing was on the wall.

Gundo should have been hooked in the first half, him and Rodri rarely work against teams who chase down.

The smart move seemed to be Grealish on, Phil to the right, Bernie inside.

Special mention for Cancelo, who spent the entire afternoon being an absolute shithouse and feigning injury. As for his penalty dive, why? The guy would have a clear shot across goal on his left foot.

Kudos to Eddie, Laporte, Bernie and Stones. They played for the team, the rest played within themselves or for themselves.

What a shit result.
ha
you forgot to mention kdb
did he pass the ball to one of ours at any time ?
he was a disgrace, just like he was at leicester away before scoring a worldie,i love him,but he has took the piss recently

Gundo had a poor game today. Pep should have put Alvarez on earlier for Gundo and moved Bernardo into the middle. Players were already in Doha.

Certainly need to change tack and pass quicker going forward if we are to dominate the score line in enough games after the break.

To keep the enthusiasm and will and ability to finish top after winning 4 of the past 6 is a huge task in the premier league.

If we can obtain the same results we have to date we will be in a big shout however.

Of course today was not good and the performance with the result has been coming albeit Brentford probably won't win too many more games away this season.
