Brian Marwood {merged}

Re: Brian Marwood

Marwood is obviously under some orders from the bosses to sort this financial fair play shit. Mancini wants to build and rightfully so, but none of us have any idea what goes on behind doors now days. I'm surprised Mancini has brought this public and no doubt get a talking to.. His such a political person, would hate to get on the wrong side.

Re: Brian Marwood

I'm glad he went public. Couldn't care less whether some corporate higher up is embarrassed, the important thing is that we keep winning.

If this causes Khaldoon to step in and ensure he gets the players he needs, great. The executives as far as I'm concerned are all replaceable.

Re: Brian Marwood

Sack him. He's holding us back by trying to get us to do everything prim and proper. EX Sky!

Get out of our club, you nasty, oily little Gooner.

Does anyone else find it deeply troubling that this man has so much power over transfers? His role at City wants clarifying post-fucking-haste. What does a 'football administrator' do, exactly?

Have you not watched the Chairmans interview that's still on the Official site. Watch it I urge you......

Then why is Mancini putting pressure on Marwood?

The way I see it, if Mancini knows that Sheikh Mansour is behind this strategy 100%, he wouldn't make a peep. He would never call out Sheikh Mansour in public like that. That he is complaining in public suggests that he believes he is putting pressure on someone, and Mansour cannot be pressured, so it doesn't add up to believe that Marwood is only taking orders.

Surely not? Why would the club be paying out a huge contract to Marwood just so he can be a puppet?

I agree. Mancini is far too smart of a person to start biting at the hand that feeds him.

Indeed! He like Cook is not a puppet but has a job to do,the fact bobby is publicly venting his frustration toward Marwood says he is not under the transfer cosh from on high but is being played by the execs!

Re: Brian Marwood

Maybe it's just all a charade...

Why would Bobby (knowing the score) sign a new contract and then slap the chairman and owner in the face by slagging one of the top brass?

My personal opinion is that the mind games have started early.

We'll make a couple of signings towards the end of the window.
