Re: Brian Marwood

Guess the next few weeks will be the difference between charade and something with the potential to explode.

Re: Brian Marwood

It's amazing how many people know what goes on behind the scene's.

Based on what i think not what i know, i think that neither of them get on because Marwood is doing a tough job and Mancini can be a bastard to get on with even if he likes you.

People can say Marwood has failed to move Adebayor and Santa Cruz on but what more can he do? Neither will buge from their huge wages and the club will not subsidise them going away so i fail to see what more he can do.

The situation with Van Persie i actually back Marwood over this stance, if we were to just sign RVP for a big fee and huge wages we would have 5 top class strikers and Santa Cruz, that's around £1m per week on strikers, ridiculous amount especially when we scored 93 league goals last season, getting another striker in is not what we need.

I think Mancini going public is just his frustration coming to fruition for not getting what he wants from a man he doesn't like.

Re: Brian Marwood

I've said from the beginning that we should take care of our primary concern (the football squad) & cross the FFP bridge when we come to it. Fortune favours the brave & if we dont continue our success on the pitch then where do we go?

By all accounts Mancini wanted Tiago Silva, Hazard, RVP, De Rossi, Martinez & Lavezzi & wanted rid of Ade, Bridge, RSC & is willing to listen to offers for Kolo & AJ. Add together the uncertainty regarding NDJ, Dzeko, Savic & Kolorov & you can see what Mancini is trying to do. He wants to improve the quality of our squad's gene pool to ensure continued success on the pitch where it matters.

None of us know for sure what has been done or said behind closed doors, but looking at the above, I'll go with Mancini. We've allowed Platini to put the fear of God up us, but what we need to do is trust in the manager, back him & allow him to do as he sees fit. As for Marwood, he needs to do his job & ruthlessly deal with Ade, Bridge et al & let them know its either they leave or rot in the reserves.

Let Mancini deal with the squad & FFP (with the assistance of our legal team) will take care of itself.

Maybe it's just all a charade...

Why would Bobby (knowing the score) sign a new contract and then slap the chairman and owner in the face by slagging one of the top brass?

My personal opinion is that the mind games have started early.

We'll make a couple of signings towards the end of the window.

There is every chance that could be true. However he appears to have had a slight ( !!) dig at Marwood on a couple of occasions lately.

-- Sat Aug 11, 2012 8:27 am --

I thought Bobby's new terms of his contract was that he had more control over transfers?

I can see this ending bad and Bobby walking out!

Sorry I don`t think for one moment that will happen. The Boss or Khaldoon will intervene if it ever got to that stage.IMO anyway.

I completely understand Mancini's frustrations but I wish he wouldn't go public with grievances such as this. I'm sure everyone at City is already well aware of his antipathy towards Marwood but airing it like this in front of the media doesn't do the club any favours at all.

Mancini's obviously gone public in one last attempt to force the issue, but I really hoped these sort of divisions within the club were a thing of the past.
Too late. mancini didnt just wake up and had a moan about Marwood in the media. Its clear they have different views on transfers and been at heads all summer, hence why no one has been signed and now he's making his frustration clear to everyone and tells everyone, Im not the blame we have not signed anyone, its this guy.

I cant see Marwood being impressed with that and I think his days at the club are numbered after this

Things are so simplistic on this forum, aren't they?

Do any of you realise when Mancini says 'ask marwood' he is really having a public dig at khaldoon and adug? Marwood is a wage slave doing his boss's bidding. He will be working under financial parameters set by khaldoon, so if he can't shift adebayor and all the other outcasts it's because ADUG want too much money for them, not because Marwood is incompetent.

I don't know whether he is or isn't, and neither do any of you. Mancini is often incredibly thoughtless in front of the media and this is another example. Marwood is his patsy and some of you have taken it literally.

For the record I am with Mancini. Just take the hit an get shut of the fuckers. We bought them and overpaid them. This club needs to keep the momentum going and we are an injury to kompany or silva or clichy away from second place at the moment.

But he didn't need to have another public sulk about it.

Silva went for 35 million
Hazard went for 32 million
Lavezzi went for 27 million
Rvp is 20 million player
Martinez and de Rossi are 30 million players

My guess is he wanted Silva, RVP and one of the wingers and central midfielders. Thats about 110 million pound on a league winning team. Maybe Mancini like some people here are taking the shiekhs generosity too far?

.

i don't think so.
i think is exactly the same case of mourinho wanting valdano head becouse believed he was an incompetent.
mancini believe marwood is an incompetent and want his head, imo.

-- Sat Aug 11, 2012 9:48 am --

maybe mancini was willing to sale some players founding that buys and marwood hasn't been able to sell anybody ?
