Brian Marwood {merged}

Brian Marwood

totally unjustified but - i just don't like the bloke, never did as a player, as a pundit and now squirm whenever i hear him interviewed

proves how far you can go as an ex-pro if you have a little intelligence

Re: Brian Marwood

I cannot believe that the glorified office junior is still at the club considering cock up Cooke has bit the dust. I have never liked Marwood in any capacity and him sitting in on press conferences welcoming players into the club never ever set well with me.

Having just signed a very lucrative contract Mancini is the man and if the jumped office junior is causing friction then he goes simple as. So f*ck off Marwood close the door on you way out.

Marwood has been praised a hell of a lot by the chairman for all the work he has done behind the scenes revamping the facilities and getting everything up to date.

Woopie f*ckin doo wouldn't a descent facilities manager do all that for you at a fraction of the cost. Marwood is a leach getting paid a lot of money for doing very little. What it all boils down to is would the club carry on in the same way if Marwood went well I think cock up Cooke proved that point. However if Mancini went then this would cause major disruptions at the club.

Love the people on here, city should just off load Santa Cruz, adebayor etc for nothing, it's a business, you piss and moan about paying a few pounds extra for season tickets and then come on here and expect the owners to just dump millions of pounds of investment in the bin for nothing. Just because the the owners have billions they won't miss a few million . This is not fantasy football.
It's the real world.
The fact Santa Cruz was signed in the first place speaks greater volumes than not being able to sell him!

And ultimatly who's responsibility was it for signings at the time, erm someone called Brian his second name escapes me.

Re: Brian Marwood

The relentless slagging of Marwood on here bores the arse off me. If graspers like Bridge and Adebayor won't take a pay cut and there are no takers for their services, then there is fuck all Marwood or anyone else can do about it. Indeed if Marwood didn't already have the backing of our owners (people that actually know what his mandate is, as opposed to some of the "I want" merchants on here), he could probably argue that he's being set up to fail, such is the difficulty of his task. Mancini, much as we all might love him, is a known control freak and I suspect the owners are quite happy about having seperated the roles of managing and transfer negotiating. It's easy to get your man if there are no financial constraints involved, but there clearly are because of FFP. If Khaldoon was unhappy with Marwood's performance, the bloke would no longer be at the club.....And I say all that as someone who likes Mancini and doesn't much care for Marwood

hear hear - well said!

Re: Brian Marwood

Hoping Khaldoon is in town for the CS today. Then him, BM, and RM can between them get some decisions made to cheer the gaffer up and at least get him one or two of the players he wants.

Re: Brian Marwood

It is simply unfair to slag off the players for insisting that the terms of their contracts of employment are upheld. It's Marwood, Cook (not Cooke) and - whisper it quietly - Khaldoon & the Board who have landed us with this mess. That's why Marwood has been praised so fulsomely from above.
