Brian Marwood (merged)

Re: Well done Brian Marwood.

Marwood has got far more wrong than right and much like Garry Cook and Andy Welsh I look forward to here that he has got the boot.

Brian Marwood acts on behalf of Khaldoon and the Board. He follows their directions and ensures their wishes are carried out.

This opens up an interesting angle as some of Mancinis more unusual selections/tactics this season have almost seemed like a prelude to him saying - look I told you I needed certain players, but you wouldn't believe me

Re: Well done Brian Marwood.

I dont think we can completely blame Marwood, mancini definetly has the squad to progress from this group but he has got things dreadfully wrong again. However, did he ask for Hazard, DDR and Martinez? Undoubtedly. Is it over the top for him to expect all 3? Yes. Is it over the top to expect at least one of them? No. Are Rodwell, Sinclair and Garcia even close to the 3 he wanted in terms of talent?..er no.

A lot of people with their heads in the sand Gary and aren't prepared to accept that. Scapegoating Marwood is seemingly easier than making the manager accountable for his team's performance to some.

Making the manager accountable for players performance is the favourite game of many also.

When the team collectively fails - the manager is responsible. It's not rocket science and it isn't any different at any other club. Just seems as per my post above, some people seem more interested in scapegoating a guy who had fuck all say in what we spent this summer rather than looking out our collective failings and making the man in charge responsible.

BTW ... you saw last night first hand up close and personal why Jurgen Klopp is the man who should replace Mancini when he chooses to leave us.

Ultimately, the manager is accountable for his players' performances. Ask any manager who has just been sacked if that is not the case...!! Then again, according to Mancio in a recent presser, it's really Marwood's fault for doing business late in the window.

Yes, your hard on for CL, now can you tell me again how BD faired last season in a very easy group?

Re: Well done Brian Marwood.

The 5 signings have just made it a harder job for Mancini, we should have been better of keeping our squad together (apart from the deadwood) and letting them grow. Now we have to fit players who are obviously not at the required level.
