If I was offered £85k a week and had to do very little in return, I wouldn't move until that contract was up. Some footballers don't even like the game, perhaps he's one of them. He's doing nothing wrong as its a contract between TWO parties.

so why are the public up in arms about the rbs boss?

Re: Wayne Bridge have you no shame

In fact he's one of the shitest hot potato hoof down the line big kick big kick defenders i've ever seen.

Nice one. They shouldn't be! That's life.

Because some people just need something to be bitter about.

The fucking leech has no honour.

THIS FOR ME!!! The days of anbody having honour seem to be long gone. To pull on the blue shirt is a dream. I would be honoured to have anything to do with City that earns me a wage. Unfortunately if you don't love the Club or care about it then you can't be shocked when someone like Wayne Bridge acts the way they have been. Ego & money make most modern footballers what they are today

Re: Wayne Bridge have you no shame

In all fairness to Bridge he could be stacking shelves now and has probably seen lads he played with up to his late teens who are now employed by the likes of Aldi.

Footballers realise at a very young age that it is a brutal game where loyalty to a player is limited to his usefulness to whichever club he is at. He will have seen good players who got injured at the wrong time who were discarded like a used rag, with all their dreams in tatters because of one bad tackle.

City agreed this contract and anyone who can blame him for enforcing its terms when he is all too aware that it could easily be him doing the overnight shift at his local Lidl has a poor grasp of human nature imo.

Re: Wayne Bridge have you no shame

He is doing exactly same thing me and 99% of others would do. Why the hell would he go playing football somewhere for half of (or much less probably) what he earns now.

The guy is living perfect life - earning tons of money without any pressure and with just little bit of responsibility.

He's not cheating anyone, he is doing the stuff he's required by the contract. He didn't force anyone to sign him and give him that kind of wage.

I have no problems with him at all.
