Still cannot fathom how we can struggle against a side like Brighton but a result is a result and that is all I care about.
It's always going to be tough against teams that set out to stop you scoring at all costs. With all their players parked so deep it makes the area of the pitch we operate in narrow and tight, which obviously makes it more difficult for us to play with maximum fluency. Given that they're well organised at the back too it adds to the problem.
If they'd come out and attacked a bit more, we would have had space to exploit them. See the 1st goal. But why would they? That's suicide for them against us.
No matter how good you are, a disciplined team parking the bus will always be extremely difficult to break down. Chelsea did it perfectly in the 2012 Champions League, and that was against a Guardiola + Messi Barcelona and a Jupp Heynckes Bayern.
Against teams that park the bus a win is more than enough.
