We're not as free flowing as we were , i fully expect another stressful game.
City to win but not an easy game

Sané gave the ball away 2 or 3 times just after we scored and I thought Pep came close to taking him off. He was worked up in general, but he was apoplectic with Leroy.
Everybody gave the ball away not just Leroy, Leroy needs our backing whilst he's out of form.

Me and a rag colleague were discussing this at work and HE came up with various scenarios for us to win whilst heaping pain on the dippers.
The best was Dippers winning and is drawing and ten scoring an offside goal in 92nd minute.
He hates them more than ever now!!

A wonderful thought, but the stress would be too much. After the last 3 games there's not much more my nerves can take. A straight forward, business-like, play-them-off-the-park 3-0 win will do nicely, thank you.

Tough team selection for this game would start with sterling, Jesus and mahrez with bernando, gundogan and Silva in mid keep the same back 5. Think mahrez and Jesus suit this game with their trickery. Plus we can switch to two up if it isn't working. Will be a tough match hoping wolves do us a favour still think we will win but knowing the pool were trailing would certainly ease the nerves they are shot this season.lol

Ederson
Walker
Laporte
Kompany
Zinchenko
Gundogan
Bernardo
Silva
Sterling
Jesus
Aguero

Sane, Foden, and hopefully one of KDB or Fernandinho available to be used from bench, if we need it!

Got to agree, plus he's fresh. Several of our players looked leggy last night (Silva, Sergio, Raz - plus Leroy was just plain dreadful) and Foden hovered around the fringes too much. Brighton are the most boring, physical, bus parkers in the league. It took us 75 minutes to break them down last season, and we only managed the 1 goal in the cup semi. A bit of Jesus' trickery and tenacity would not go amiss.
Besides the lack of effort I don't know what to make of Leroy at the moment. He seems to be cutting in from the flank at less than 90 degrees (ie heading back up field) all the time, making it almost impossible, even with his pace, to then change direction and go outside of his man. When he does try it he gets mugged, and to be honest there's not a great deal of point to him if all he's capable of is laying the ball back to Zin, Gunders or Dave.

I think Leroy may be struggling with the bus-parkers. He's less effective in the tight spaces than Bernie and Raz. On the counter, he and KDB are probably our most effective players but Leroy may have to adapt his game for when there's no space to attack. Perhaps he needs to be tried as an inverted winger: with his shot, he might be more effective coming in from the right against the packed defences.

Don't see what we have to lose by giving Gabby a go and moving Duracell Bernie inside on Sunday.

As long as the players will play their normal game of pass and move, it shouldn't be much of a problem in beating Brighton. It will only become a problem if we forget our basic way of playing the game. Which is of course pass and move. Please pep tell the players to put a bit of pep in their game and play the passes a little bit quicker, also to play the passes into the box to the players feet, as we are not blessed with tall strikers.

I’m going to see if the bookies will take a bet on Gabby.
After how many minutes after comes on that he’s caught offside.
I’m going for less than 1 minute.
