First half we were well in control and missed a couple of fabulous opportunities, but Foden took his goal really well with a shot that was placed into a corner!
Second half we started well then fell off a cliff and looked extremely average, however, we created more chances than we did in the first and BHA only had one attempt on target and that was from 25 yards. Our goal was never really under threat

KDB was certainly MOTM
Bernardo ran his socks off again and was unlucky to hit the post. He also conjured up a couple of pieces of pure football magic in the game will will go unmentioned
Centre halves were absolutely rock solid again. Just gave the one half chance when the BHA player split them and then hesitated before Stones got the block in
Mahrez ran his bollocks off with no reward, but was guilty (like KDB) of missing a glorious chance
Foden drifted in and out of the game, as did Gundogan
For all the good work Cancello did he was sloppy a few times giving the ball away
Don't really know what Rodri contributed, but as BHA had very few opportunities we must assume he played his part defensively

The less said about the penalty the better

Obviously I don’t. But it would have given them confidence to have a go and we’d have got nervous

What looked like a favourable run of fixtures suddenly doesn’t look quite so straightforward! Hopefully tonight’s performance was just a blip.

We need a striker, but with Jesus coming back from Covid and Serge still isolating Pep may need to continue to play with the false 9 for the next few games.

Lost count of the times when our players were breaking into the final third and there were no City players in the box.

Sometimes you need to win when you’re not on it or lucks not in.....southampton a few years ago etc .... this team are starting to find a way even when we are not on all cylinders. Keep it up City and then bring in the big gun ‘Sergio’ to get us firing in front of goal later in the season.

We are heading in right direction and have more people firing on form....when Mahrez, Sterling and a centre forward join that we will be unstoppable!

I’d agree brining Fernandinho on for rodri is a great option if we want to change forward momentum in games, rodri is a big factor in why we’ve only let in 13 though, along with Stones and Diaz

I like Rodri but he’s no Fernandinho,during the second half forget who passed the ball to him middle of the park but he turned and just played it straight to a Brighton player no more than 3-4 yards away if that,how the fuck does that actually happen..

He makes at least one stupid pass around the half way line each game.

I honestly don't think he has made more than one incisive forward pass in a single game. He is no better than John Stones with the ball at his feet. Cancelo is far better with the ball. That's simply not good enough for what we need from our central midfielder.
