Brighton (H) | Post Match Thread

Great post tbf.
But in answer to your question though, I’ve got plenty of time, so feel free.
I don't have a lot of time to be honest, but the posts are all there to see on the matchday thread.

Name names? how long have you got?

Absolute joke, almost everyone was bottling it. I keep saying it, but if the lack of confidence spills over to the team we could be in trouble. Even now some are saying the players looked nervous in the first half but I didn't think they did at all. We were totally in control and it was just a matter of time before we started the scoring, and it was just a matter of how many we'd get.

Anfield was buzzing last night, tonight our fans looked worried to death, but not the players. Why can't we just enjoy? If we lose we go again next year, hopefully with Haaland and Julian Alvarez.
Anfield was bouncing because they got an early goal. Guaranteed if it was 0-0 at half time they'd have had the same nerves.

Just been watching the highlights from Premier League productions.

Nice to hear a commentator being really enthusiastic about our goals.
I had to listen to a woman commentator, me ears are still bleeding!

Didnt get the early goal to calm the (mainly my) nerves, but we looked like the match winners anyway, just needed that breakthrough goal and the rest followed.

This result could be better than just the three points too, the dippers have just beaten us at wembley, had a big win v the rags to go top, and all the media bigging them up as if its all done and dusted including the quadruple. All the time gathering momentum.

Then, up pop City with a good win v an in form side to knock em off top again and show we are not going away, and the reality is that the pl is in our hands and not theirs.

At half time they must have been rubbing their sweaty hands together at the prospect of us dropping points, in fact, I think half of the match thread was expectant dippers.

The fact that we had a couple of deflections must have really annoyed them too, making it even better. Oh, and KDB has found his mojo again and Diaz is back , a great night when alls said and done.

Lets keep chalking those games off and see where it takes us.

Great that Diaz came on. Contrast - how would the scousers have done without VVD for 9 games?
Can't get over how mega that result was tonight. V v nervous 1st half, but churning out that result to go top again after that 1st half is immense.
Also, that's 23 goals for old FFS Mahrez now. He still gets a lot of stick, and hasn't played every game, but, he might get 25+ goals this season and not that many players have ever done that for City in top flight football.
Made-up about that result tonight.
We know exactly how they would do, because we got told he was injured every 5 mins for 6 months last season.

Phil Foden made his 50th Premier League start for Manchester City – aged 21 years and 327 days.

He became the youngest to start 50 games for City since Joe Hart in January 2009 (21y 287d) and the youngest to ever start 50 top-flight games under Pep Guardiola, overtaking Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets in November 2010 (22y 120d).

Should have gone on loan. Can someone send this to Neil Custis?
Not bad for a bench warmer eh Neil...
