Brighton (H) | Post Match Thread

Often it’s hard to see if we’re on the way to an easy three nil win, or a frustrating nil nil draw. I suppose that’s to do with the way we try to control the game, with out always making the most of our chances.

It’s going to be tough every game now but we know we have a team that can handle the pressure of a title run in. The only problem is Liverpool seem to be able to too.

Our fixtures are easier (meaning up till now they’ve been harder) so with the point advantage we are definitely most likely.
Why do you think our fixtures are easier, I don’t.

No fixture is easy as we have discovered a couple of times this season. We could be having a bad day at the office or the opposition could b3 having their best game of the season. Sometimes teams seem to gather strength from our class act, we show them what needs to be done and either they are in awe of our perfection and they freeze or they gather strength from our teaching.

Did that make sense?

Rated 1-5. 1 is a home game against a relegation candidate, 5 away to a top four team. I’ve put their Everton game as a 2 as a derby.

Us: Watford (H) 1, Leeds (A) 3, Newcastle (H) 3, West Ham (A) 4, Aston Villa (H) 2. TBD: Wolves (A) 3
Total: 16

Them: Everton (H) 2, Newcastle United (A) 4, Tottenham (H) 4, Aston Villa (A) 3, Southampton (A) 4, Wolves (H) 2
Total: 19

They have tough aways at Newcastle and Southampton, and home to Spurs. Our toughest game is away to West Ham.

Seems a bit arbitrary. You have us away at Wolves as a 3 but the dippers away at Southampton as a 4. I'd say Wolves is a tougher game.

I think we have our toughest fixtures away, whereas they seem to have their strongest opponents mainly at home. Pretty even fixture list really and both sides would expect to win all of those games under normal circumstances.

Significant when Dias came on in that we had 3 players who could bring the ball from the back and distribute, the first half summed up a lot of our season, we should’ve had about 3 goals, that’s the difference between us and the dippers, we could’ve took players off to rest at half time then. I’ve no idea what’s going to happen this season now, but the nerves are getting to us and it seems transmitting to the players the crowd was quiet last night. Leeds, wolves and West Ham are the ones I’m worried about, although if West Ham get to the final they may well rest players. I think this goes to the last day and fucking Slippy G, let’s hope it’s not another QPR and more like a Brighton finish.

I have have this weird feeling that Everton might take something.

I never fancied Rags to take anything last night. They really are woeful, never seen such a bad Rag side in my lifetime.

Derbies though are one off games. We know only too well.

Evertonians get the added bonus of fucking up their neighbors Title challenge. As well as a Derby draw/win.
Forget Liverpool.
Concentrate on City winning
