For Brighton providing everyone is fit I'd go: Ederson, Walker, Dias, Akanji, Gvardiol, Rodri, Nunes, Bernardo, Doku, Foden, Haaland

Subs: Ortega, Lewis, Ake, Stones, Gomez, Bobb, Kovacic, Alvarez, Grealish

I would trust Ake over Akanji, and start Alverez but have Doku in reserve, otherwise agree with the staters, if all fit

As good as Brighton are supposed to be i think they are going to be on the end of a reaction from our players , the media writing us off and looking for a crisis are going to be disappointed , we will have Stones , Grealish and others returning. Brighton will not come here to defend De Zerbi will not allow that and i believe that will play into our hands expecting a few goals and a result to remind the doubters that we are the team to beat.

Thanks from a Chinese fan of Manchester City.
it is interesting to see a UK football fan's forum.
I watch every match of the mancity, and I love this team.(I even try to find some city walk video of Manchester, to feel the City )
Trying to figue out the England people's opinion about the team.

As an aside, the next few fixtures will make or break our early-season, a month ago we were rolling along on the crest of a wave, without Kev, the new recruits seemed to be settling in and Haaland and Alvarez were providing the goals and results. Rodri’s temper tantrum cost us dear, and now an international break. No problem if we can beat Brighton and the next couple of games, but anything else could result in a loss of confidence and the media will do all they can to pile on the pressure

We need to play more aggressive football. Passing the ball sideways in a safe mood is not going to help us. We need players who do not fair to play direct, pass the ball between and above the lines, we need to create more chances/attempts to score and shoot more on target. And in order to do so, Pep need to wake up and adjust.

Start the game at a good quick tempo like the Forest one we'll have no problems. Fanny about at a sloths pace and it will become a long 90 plus minutes, and Brighton are more than capable of picking us off on the break.
