Bring the Noise

Do you think we can have another "Hamburg Night"? the place was rocking that night, even after they had scored.

Interestingly, based on the comments about people not getting to their seats on time, loads were queuing to get in past kickoff iirc either because of some issue or because everyone was still chucking pints down outside the ground up until as late as they could. I got in just before kickoff and the Hamburg fans were making a racket until blue moon rang out (naturally rather than by the club). It was so loud they actually stopped because I think they were quite stunned by the noise.

What an epic night that was! No expectations, just hope and unwavering support of the team. We really should of beat them despite being a goal down and Dunney getting sent off. Missed so many chances!

Edit - just dug out some youtube videos and was packed for kickoff, but still, what a night that was! Same tonight please blues - just get the job done this time!

I think a lot of City fans at the moment seem to be quite passive in terms of their approach to our football. They're not being entertained and they're not showing any fight or support for the team.

I watched the Arsenal v Everton game at West Ham on Saturday and even late on the stadium was pretty full and they were all getting behind the team. We'd have vast swathes of empty seats and I can tell you now, those Arsenal fans don't have it any easier when it comes to travel home with queues for public transport or long walks to quieter stations, so have the same justification for leaving early that our fans do.

We've always got behind the team, but it feels like some threw in the towel the moment things started to be more difficult on the pitch. I'm sure it will be a good atmosphere tonight, but I'd be stunned if it was anywhere near what it's been when we've had our backs to the wall before.
They haven't won the league for 20 years mate, of course they're still there.

When we were chasing down united, to end 44 years, we were a 90 min fanbase. The celebrations in the stands after Vinnies goal beat them at our place went on well after the players left the pitch.

Well I did it, I win the shit fan of the year award, I fucked off at HT, as did quite a lot of others I may add, do I feel ashamed, yes a little, I’m a vowing never to go to that rigged competition ever again (unless it’s the final) yes I fucking am

I’ll save my energy for Sunday and thankfully listening to it on radio in car on way home so did Pep with the subs thank fuck

There were a lot of 50/50’s that went their way but the big calls were either fine or even.

The penalty/red was correct.

I’ve seen it proper now was a red I agree, but all the 50/50 went their way
I couldn’t go in the end as needed to look after both kids, so can’t have a go at you, but think you’ll regret leaving so early when you sleep on it.

I was planning on leaving at HT then we scored so I stayed but left at 75.
No shame from me.

Interesting tonight.

I was in 111 instead of 115, close to the Madrid fans.

111,110, and 109 were pretty decent tonight. Apart from a few chants that came over, I couldn’t hear SSL1 much, even though I could see SSL1 singing. The Madrid fans drowned out any chanting and noise that was coming from SSL1. Not because they were overly loud, but because they were in our left ears in 111 and 110. I don’t know about 109. The Madrid fans, and probably most away fans, act like a noise barrier/wall. We’ve posted it many times. The Etihad really is weird when it comes to acoustics and noise coming from different parts of the stadium, that other parts of the stadium can’t hear. I couldn’t hear SSL3 at all.

Rare that we ever go into a game as such underdogs now, it brought out an old school atmosphere, fans got right behind the players, hopefully it's noted that we were singing loud and proud in injury time as they scored , I didn't hear it myself but I read anfield was booing their team off at the weekend, United fans have been booing for nearly a decade, Arsenal fans are an absolute disgrace for it, spurs, chelsea all do it, we don't.

Fucking Apalling ‘Fan’ fuck off……

How do things change for the better if we aren't allowed to criticise what doesn't currently work?, and one of those tings is the clubs insistence on killing any kind of pre match atmosphere with their cheese fest pre match and god awful version of blue moon.
Palace and Villa fans have been moaning about the same thing recently.

It’s an odd stadium. There are places in the ground where you can hear certain other places in the ground loud and clear, but move somewhere not even far away and you can’t hear where you could hear before but can hear somewhere else.

I don’t go anymore but my season ticket was in 111/112 and I always thought it was the best part of ground but could never really hear the South Stand. Really think getting the singers in new North sStand will help
