British and Irish Lions Tour - 2013

What an amazing game, Sexton's celebration after his try was something that will live long in the memory.

As already mentioned the slow ball of Phillips could have cost us but the damage the forwards did meant we had domination in the pack.

Halfpenny is on another level at fullback, the ball seems to zone in on him and he has everything a rugby player would want.

BOC was a world class player but Gatland's decision was proved to be correct. The passion the players showed with the real pride they showed to wear the jersey showed how sport should be.

Mind blowing finish to a really exciting tour.

Great game, but if could have only had that level of scrummaging in the first two tests then we could have been looking at a 3-0 whitewash. Forwards win you the game the backs decide by how many points.

Well played Sexton you made me eat my words. Well done Gatland you made loads eat their words, fancy taking the players to the gold coast on a jolly and dropping BOD what do know about it.
Well done the LIONS, now lets dick the Aussies in the ashes.
Any way off the shag another sheep.

Great win today and BOD played his part in the tour victory in the earlier games.

If Adam Jones can maintain form and fitness and George North and Halfpenny continue to cut open defences then Wales must have a strong chance for the 2015 Wprld Cup. England's players will also be at the right age to give the Southern Hemisphere a run for their money with the likes of Corbisiero and Wade set to be Wod Class for years to come.

Corbisiero had a great game today, as did the rest of the pack. That scrum where Hibbard put so much pressure on his opposite number that Hibs looked to have fainted was awesome. The Aussies didn't want to know after that.
We finally had a balanced back row, Toby and SOB were immense and battered the Aussies at the breakdown.
Every player on tour has done their bit & kudos to BOD for being a man and taking the news of his being dropped like the pro he's always been.
Halfpenny deservedly player of the series but everyone did their bit for British & Irish rugby.

So five countries with a population of around 65 million beat one country of around 20 million and its viewed as something special.

Australia is a rugby league country, if they had their league talent in union they'd destroy the lions. Still they don't, and put out a decent Union team ( for their size and player pool ) so it's still a decent achievement. However as you kinda eluded to with the strength of the 4 unions we should win to be fair. Gotta say though the quality of both teams ain't great and the sky team really do a great jobs making lions games sound exciting when they're run of the mill.

Had Warburton not been sent off in the semi final (which was a correct decision), Wales would have won the last world cup imo. The All Blacks were not great in the final, and hadnt been particularly great all tournament, but Wales were playing really well and had clicked at the right time.
