Wasn't tongue in cheek fella. These were people avowed to try and wage a war against this country, that released videos encouraging others to do the same. These were people where no UK rule of law applied, people that couldn't be picked up off the street and remanded in custody whilst a case was built against them.

They were part of ISIS, they thought they were safe to try and wage their war against anyone not in ISIS. These were part of the scum raping preteen sex slaves, throwing gay men off roof tops, putting prisoners in cars and blowing them up.

We're morally superior to them because our rule of law is sacrosanct and that protects our citizens, no matter what their opinions. Everybody is country is guilty of no crime until they have had the right to a trial.

If we're not morally superior to fascistic terrorists who want to murder innocent people then what the fuck is the point of any rule of law?

I find there to be nothing morally repugnant about taking out terrorists hell bent on murder to be honest.

If this was in the UK, where the rule of law could be applied, I'd be screaming my lungs out, but it's impossible to pull them off the streets in Syria.

I disagree that it's impossible for a modern intelligence agency but can save that argument for another day. The larger point is that you're separating the same offence committed against different people.

Essentially I'm suggesting that murder by the Government is ALWAYS wrong and you seem to be suggesting that that is a negotiable position based on what they'd tell us. A question I have is that if they had got this wrong and he was just a lad wrapped up in some shit he didn't understand rather than a terrorist mastermind, how do you think they'd represent that to the press? Do you think they'd tell the press core that or paint him as a target that is absolutely necessary to eliminate no matter the reality?

If like I do, you think the Government understands the power of the media and PR, it would say this no matter what. Therefore we can't ascertain any real information from what we're told and instead need public disclosure.
