The problem with referencing 51 or the Caroline Test is that they are irrelevant so long as IS is not a member of the UN. We are not dealing with a state or nation, we are dealing with a terrorist organisation operating across the world.

It's completely irrelevant whether ISIS are a member of the UN or not as long as they can be shown to pose an armed threat.

Mustard gas or chlorine gas? Chlorine gas is easy, just mix hydrochloric acid and bleach, inject into an explosive for an instant chemical weapon. Mustard gas is a more complex compound but you could still make it at home quite easily.

Yeah personally I'm not too arsed about legal/illegal.. what matters most is the outcome. I don't believe the law to be always right. I just hope the consequences are for the better. As everyone keeps saying.. who cares if members of ISIS die? Less monsters = win, but only if killing 1 doesn't result in creating 2. The quickest and most painless road to peace is the goal obviously. I know that's simplistic and who knows what will happen next? It's almost as if there is no satnav never mind a driver.

I don't expect Cameron to say they had their finger on a trigger which would have blown up 10 UK cities had they squeezed it, but some justification is necessary. Those that say we don't need to know anything other than they were members of Isis are not thinking big enough.

The most disgusting thing about this is how civilized it all is.

Our Government has murdered a British national without trial.

That is a fact. The Government is a representation of the people of this country and we are all ultimately and collectively responsible for its actions.

They've turned us into murderers and the response is bombastic proclamations of more and a finickity argument on legal terms. No real outrage anywhere.

We collectively have become so frightened, so petrified of terrorism that we have allowed it to erode the most sacred foundations of our legal system and the protections we have against tyranny.

We are normalizing murder by the Government without recourse. The fact that they say somebody is a terrorist is irrelevant. We do not allow capital punishment nor do we allow them to summarily execute people based on their say so. They are beholden to our legal system, and on this occasion they have shown that our rights and protections granted to us are a big joke, given for as long as those in power allow it.

Well, as far as I am concerned they can murder these twats in their thousands, whatever their alleged nationality, they are scum and deserve to die. There will always be apologists for these people no matter what atrocities they carry out in the name of their sham of a religion.
