If you were an average person in the C16th, you would have classed the king as being "quite well off" - but his wealth is dwarfed by most working peoples income now. Due to inflation (ie my original point before you went off all confused.)

Hmmm Clegg has agreed to a cap on immigration considering how opposed he was to this in the debates that's a bit odd.

I presume its because he knows its pretty pointless and meaningless anyway. Most immigration currently comes from within the EU and the Conservatives can't cap that even if they want to.

Yes very interesting but never had you down as a plane spotter. Unfortunately Avro failed to anticipate the jet age when it tried to introduce the Tudor turbo-prop. Sadly the crash of the MkII prototype that killed Roy Chadwick and others was a blow from which they struggled to recover. It's difficult to understand that decision from the same aircraft manufacturer that conceived and built the futuristic and advanced piece of engineering that was the Vulcan.
