Problem they have had forbthe last few years is that their defence is so gosh darn sh*te that any manager worth his salt has realised the midfield have to commit to helping defend them, resulting in many other
talented midfielders (Sanchez, Di Maria, Mata and...every now and then Pogba when he can be bothered to put the effort in) having their strengths negated in addition to them getting fed up with it and jacking in the Maximum Effort required to win in the Prem.

They have absolutely no system or coaching in how to attack established defences. They will be better with better individuals but they wont ever crack the top 2 until they actually get a manager and a dof that isn't remarkably underqualified

80 million fucking euros ? So that's Di Maria, Pogba, Lukaku and Fernandes all of whom cost more than any player City have ever signed ?
It's actually not that bad. €55m is the base fee then the add ons are €5m for reaching 25 starts, €5m for United reaching the Champions League once in the next five seasons, then €5m each time he wins PFA POTY or finishes top 3 in ballon d'or (up to €15m). So it's really €60m, and they'd be very happy with paying any more than that.
