As long as Bernie stays im not arsed.

I hope it is, CM is the big one for me.But if Tolm reckons it’s 4 players then that would be a pretty big refresh in itself? As long as they are players who could come in and actually be good enough to start? For example, if Phillips goes and Bruno G or Neves come in then that’s a huge upgrade? Same if Gomez goes and Frimpong comes in then that’s a big improvement?
Personally I'm all for strengthening, and I'm not quite as negative on Kev. We don't know but after a rest from the Euros and a decent pre season he may come back strong next season.Teams have become stronger. Teams will strengthen once more in this transfer window. Haaland will still miss sitters, get injured and score boatloads. KdB has reached the twilight of his super-powers. From now onwards, it is downhill for him, accumulation of injuries and ageing. It is inevitable, injuries await him this upcoming season. Once he is out, Haaland's chances of ghosting and not getting service increases and he goes into a drought.
KdB is no longer in his 20s, his injuries take longer to recover from. He will take time to come to form once his injury free or if he comes back red hot in form, like last season, he will dip like he did once more.
The season has not even started and you think we are the favourites. Pride and arrogance comes before the fall. What you claim is not confidence, but arrogance.
United, thought they would always win the title, 10 year drought has really proven otherwise. Bayern won it on the last day in 2022/23 season and went to lose it in 2023/24, I am sure they were the favourites and they thought they would win it AGAIN.
We remove our foot off the gas, we will be dethroned and that is a fact. We can not be resting on past laurels and glory. We need to improve as our competitors are improving. I guess it is just the half EMPTY type of person in me talking and you are the half FULL type!
Yup. Savio, Neves/ Bruno, Rodrygo/Wirtz/ Musiala will be the perfect trio for me.I hope it is, CM is the big one for me.
If we got Rodrygo or Musiala this summer, I’ll run through Manchester Piccadilly naked.Yup. Savio, Neves/ Bruno, Rodrygo/Wirtz/ Musiala will be the perfect trio for me.
Also, I think an evolution into a 3-6-1 is what's next on the card.
Our personnel suggests it:.
3 CBs, 2 DMs, 2 AMs, 2 Wide players, 1 Striker.
Potentially:
........................GK.....................
........AKanji...... Dias .....Gvardiol
..................Rodri......Neves..........
Rodrygo.....Foden..........Kev....Doku
........................Haaland..................
I think we'd look great like this:
I particularly like Rodrigo because he is one of the few get-able players who can play wide, at AM, or as the main striker. He too me is the perfect Alvarez upgrade.
If we get the above 3, we'd probably have to move Alvarez and Jack. As barring injuries, there won't be enough minutes.
The general goal for me is to have technically superior players on the ball most of the time. With aggressive attacking players out wide in Doku, Rodrygo, Savio and Bobb. Scoring AMs in Foden and Rodrygo and setup AMs in Bernardo and Kev. And great ball possessing DMs in Rodri Neves and. Kovacic, Nunez being the wild card. And Walker as a specialist RB for games against top teams.
My biggest pet peeve from the past season was too many technically weaker players (i.e defenders) constituting a majority of our time of possession with the ball. So is be happy to see that reduced drastically.
I feel this would be a strong squad able to challenge at home and in the Europe.
.
I also think many on here forget who are rivals are and it's not just in the PL.Yup. Savio, Neves/ Bruno, Rodrygo/Wirtz/ Musiala will be the perfect trio for me.

In fairness to the lad, we are literally favourites. But the margin is a lot smaller than years past. The season has not even started and you think we are the favourites. Pride and arrogance comes before the fall. What you claim is not confidence, but arrogance.
Potentially. But preferably we reinvigorate our Frontline pressure defense that has dissipated a bit since the introduction of Haaland and Debryune aging.Rodri dropping into the back 4 out of possession?
