Bruno Guimaraes

No he's not

But he's also very good, is a good age, knows the league and is available

I don't think he's worth anywhere close to £100mil but this is the market we're in

It's the market that we've helped create. £100m shouldn't be the price of every half decent player.

And I'm not saying that's what Bruno is but I'd expect £100m to get us the next David Silva, Gundogan or De Bruyne. He's not in that bracket.

I don't care about the price in and of itself but what happens when we actually do go in for a player of that calibre? £200m?

I'd be really happy with him joining but I'm also wary of us allocating a disproportionate amount of our summer budget on someone who isn't amongst the very best in the game.

I agree with Tugay One Cup as this would be a more expensive signing than Nunes (the player a lot of supporters want to get rid of alonside Kalvin Phillips)

Jacks wages will ensure he remains with us next season. Fingers crossed he reverts to 22/23 form but it’s hard to see where he will play as first choice unless KDB or Bernardo leave
I actually think Bernardo is wasted as a winger. So we could switch Doku to the right and keep Jack on the left.

Or barring that he plays alongside Phil with Rodri behind which looks fragile unless both wide players are wingbacks.

Proven in the EPL already , thats why Im more for Bruno than for Neves.

Rodri - Guimmares would be colossal.

That pair would provide a great physical edge and protection to our midfield, especially if Doku and Savio do end up being our wide options.

If the release clause options are true, hopefully it would be straightforward to do this deal. Proven in the Premier league and given the lack of European football for Newcastle next season, would almost certainly be keen to move on.

PSG reportedly have withdrawn interest in Bernardo, so he may well be staying and Pep has said they would leave together.
