Bruno Guimaraes

Something wrong when a club with unlimited resources have to sell their best player.

From the newcastle reddit, It's very wrong

"Under the current rules? Never. We’re simply not going to have enough revenue to ever justify spending £100m+ over a season without selling heavily.

We can’t sell the mediocre players, Murphy, Lascelles, Miggy, because we cannot replace them for the money they’ll bring in. Selling three decent squad players would kill us with our lack of depth. So we’d have to sell a big player, Isak, Gordon, Bruno to be able to invest in the squad with any real quality.

The only way around this is to do what Brighton have been doing, buying unknown players for next to nothing and being willing to sell them on for big profit. But then you just end up in a similar position we are now, needing to sell a key player to strengthen.

It’s a real snake eating its tail scenario for a team with ambition like us and to an extent someone like Villa, though their squad is significantly better equipped than us cycle players."

This transfer is essential. completely saves our midfield crisis. he’s been one of the best centre midfield players in the prem for some time. combative, got legs, breaks forward, scores a goal or two. will help free gundo & bernardo’s role, more solid with kova & him and rodri next season is the sort of pairing that will win us the league again. huge fan of his. he’s definitely keen to come here and will be a fernandinho type of signing imo

I am sure I am not alone in saying that I have hardly seen this guy play.
I watch plenty of footy, but mainly City and the City academy games.

The only problem is he’ll get red carded with us.

Eddie Howe admits Newcastle may have to sell again in January due to PSR. Eddie Howe concedes he “can't guarantee” retaining all his key players in January and is well aware Newcastle are striving to remain on the right side of Premier League spending regulations.

Eddie Howe: "I think our revenue streams aren’t where we want them to be. We’re still trying to grow them, so I think that trading in and out is going to be essential."

They should get some of their owner's other businesses to sponsor them for obscene amounts :)

Like you being right?
Gundogan's return? Gvardiol's overall defensive abilities? Wilfred Bony's reason for being signed instead of Dybala? Bruno G being suspended a few more times if he is an actual target and overall worth? Claudio Bravo being a decent keeper who eventually proved he was an asset (although I was wrong him being a first choice)?

Not necessarily Bruno G who is their current captain and has previously stated he is staying.
