Tevez and Mascherano moved directly from South America to England, and they have done well.

So why not give Zuculini the chance to prove himself specially with Yaya looking to leave ?

Tevez and Mascherano were Argentina stars who were first team picks for the National team and Tevez had been South American footballer of the year about three times from memory,
Zuculini may well be a talent but he is not as matured a talent as those players were when they came to West Ham.

So, did he pass his medical or what?
You should know by now anyone can pass a city medical
Good point. Just weird that we haven't heard anything new by now.

Agreed. It's very strange, but Zuculini has updated his Twitter account, retweeting people saying welcome to City! Maybe it'll be announced on Monday?

Re: Bruno Zuculini

Perhaps the paperwork etc is just going through for him to sign for us and then apparently he's going straight on loan so that might have to be finalized as well.

Announcement for both deals tomorrow most likely.

Re: Bruno Zuculini

Looks like he's signed and going out on loan....

Bruno Zuculini to join Villarreal on a season-long loan following Manchester City move

Manchester City have all but announced the acquisition of 21-year-old Argentine midfielder, Bruno Zuculini, but open signing his new contract with the reigning Premier League champions, Zuculini will join manager Manuel Pellegrini’s former side, Villarreal on a season-long loan.

Zuculini underwent his medical as he prepares to finalise his €5 million move from Racing Club and as soon as the deal is done, Spanish sports daily AS reveals that the midfielder will travel to Spain and join Marcelino’s Villarreal side for the 2014-15 season.

Manchester City see Zuculini as a player for the future, but understand that due to the demand in the Premier League, Champions League and two more competitions, Zuculini will not get the minutes needed to continue his development.

Villarreal, however, are desperate for Zuculini’s arrival as a compliment to Bruno, Pina and Trigueros, as they prepare for their Europa League, La Liga and Copa del Rey campaigns.

Zuculini’s arrival also comes as the negotiations with Espanyol over the transfer of Victor Sanchez have broken down.

Bruno is the younger brother of former Real Zaragoza defensive midfielder, Franco Zuculini.

Does is usually take this long to announce a signing after the medical, by the way?
If he is going straight out on loan then as said they'll need to finalise that before announcing anything.
