Re: Bruno Zuculini

Victor Fernandez, Coach of Deportivo La Coruna has apparently confirmed Zuculini is coming on loan.

Good move for Zuculini. As much as playing time as possible and next summer back to City to challenge for place in the squad.

Re: Bruno Zuculini

Excellent I wish him well and hope he comes back an even better player than he is now.

Inside Football as a source and no quotes?

It may be true but the source is dodgy to say the least ;.)

Re: Bruno Zuculini

Caught in two minds about loan deals. In most cases they help to progress or otherwise the individual concerned. However sometimes I feel the risk should be taken to integrate the player into the squad and allow him to immediately come to terms with our style of play.
Just got a feeling that Zuculini comes into this category and would benefit more from inclusion than loan.

Re: Bruno Zuculini

If he is indeed joining Deportivo La Coruna then that's a decent move and should help him adjust to European football. As a newly promoted side to the Spanish top flight he'll likely have his work cut out for him as a central midfielder! I can't see how having to deal with some of the World's best players can be anything but beneficial.

Re: Bruno Zuculini

Either going on a loan to Deportivo or wherever, the lad has made the best out of the opportunities handed to him during preseason. I like his attitude. At some point I'm pretty sure he will be a regular starter for us and performs to an extend where we are able to say: what a bargain!

Re: Bruno Zuculini

His challenge is going to be reaching a level where he can take one of the 17 non-homegrown spots from next season. It's not like there is a long queue of homegrown qualified players out there to replace our foreigners, unless someone like Bale becomes available next summer, so the 17 positions are gold dust in our squad when you consider the quality of player occupying them. Zucu has to make himself good enough for one or else we'll end up doing a Chelsea and selling a quality player for a good fee.

MDM is out of contract next summer, so Zuculini could take his place if he is good enough. And Rekik to replace MDM who doesn't take up place.
