BT Sport

I think some folk here are having a laugh or something.

"The Goat is okay". "Re adopt Hinchy as a big time blue". "Lakey".

Stop being so small time. We don't want a bloody Paddy Crerand sat there to make us feel better. That's what BT and Sky are giving certain clubs right now.

What we do want is objectivity and insight. There's plenty of things you wouldn't like Souness saying about City but you'll respect him saying it. Why? Because when he says it, it's truly how he feels about a performance or a failure to meet a certain level. He's objective. One week he'll praise a team, next week he'll slate them.

Same for Gary Neville. There's a guy we f**king hated to a man, but he has won over a lot of blues and earned our respect by being able to be honest in his assessments. He'll also honestly tell viewers he doesn't like having to praise City but will credit the performance and break it down with a genuine appreciation for how our team would perform, or an honest critique of where we were lacking in a game.

Stop looking for good ole boys to make you feel like we're doing great. Do you really need that? Go listen to Blue Tuesday if that's the case.

The issue isn't BT hiring ex- reds. It's BT hiring people who are pandering to their old allegiances so they won't screw up future supporters clubs/book signings. If they just hired people mature enough to be objective, their product would be far, far superior.

Haha, glad the picture I took of the flyer has made a national papers website.

I'm more glad however that even BT agree it was indefensible.

I see my question has been quoted too . Would have been nice to have been asked if that was ok

The majority of them posts that are suggesting ex Blues as pundits were in response to Simon Green's assertion that he'd like to find a City version of Camel Gob.

Great post.

My feelings summed up.

Trevor Sinclair fits the bill of fair pundit to all teams through analysis without prejudice.

Can we not get an Helicopter to just land on the pitch before kick off tonight, with a massive poster attached to it, with a picture of Sheikh Mansour sticking two fingers up saying "Fuck Off BT Sport"

Agreed, their biggest problem is they have too many people who aren't objective but some of them show very little insight or reading of the game and lack the maturity to admit they are wrong - like Owen or McManaman when the replay clearly shows they called something wrong they never correct themselves like someone with integrity would, same with Rio and his analysis.
