Budget

There are a lot of people who barely get that to live on for a week never mind spend on a child so the figure is ridiculous to many people. As for limiting the amount of children people can have? Bleurghhhh!

At the risk of repeating myself, I am not advocating stopping people having children, i am saying don't expect the taxpayer to fund your breeding habits anymore.
If you want children be responsible and make sure you are in a position to bring them up without a lifetime of support from the state

I'm not sure many "decide" to have it. Rather they conceive and abortion/adoption isn't something they could consider. This is the much much much much more common idea of how families grow
I've managed to get to age 33 without accidentally having 5 children. Or one for that matter.

Maybe after the third they should reevaluate their method of birth control. Or self control. Or pick up the remote control and watch TV instead.

That is still in effect saying that if you are fortunate to have the money then you can have more children, in my opinion it's wrong. Being priced out of a basic instinct like children by people who can afford to have as many as they want isn't democracy it's horrific ~runs around the room clutching at pearls and screaming "Think of the children !".

Not sure. It's a totally managed economy and doesn't react in any way that the rest of the world does. So anyone you read telling you x or y is purely guessing.

It would affect the yanks more than us though.

It's still up over the last 12 months.

Got a mate with some pretty serious cash tied up in the Shanghai housing markets, no panic then?

It's not wrong at all.

I still don't feel it's financially viable yet for me to have children and support them in the way I would want to, so I don't have any.

I'm not sure how that's a difficult point.

So long as he doesn't need the cash in the next two years I wouldn't have thought so. But that's why diversification is always the key.

Eggs and baskets etc.

You'd have to find somebody willing to shag you before you could accidentally have kids mate

But that's your choice and a choice you have made, you are making the mistake of assuming everyone can think like you even to the extent of an hormonal woman with a thundering biological clock driven to have children whatever the price can be advised that she can't afford to have children , that just doesn't work and it never will. I am not disagreeing with you in your circumstances but your circumstances aren't the circumstances of everybody.
