Haven't seen this posted anywhere but this is absolutely golden and I suggest everyone take the time out to watch it.

Key points are:
-Revenue evolution and the rise of City's global brand
-Managing humans in a football club, giving direct examples from his time at Barcelona
-The keys to building a successful team: Commitment & Balance
-Leadership styles for a successful team, managing talent vs commitment

Do yourself a favour and watch this, it's really great and will instill in you the solid belief that financial "fair" play will very soon be a thing of the past.

You don't read the FFP thread do you :)

Any one interested in our club should watch this.

The use of the term "theme park" quite often during the intro (12:00min) signifies the intent from what I see of them developing East manchester eventually (or New york/melbourne ??? ) into a Football themed tourist attraction.

Thanks for posting that. Excellent stuff. Fascinating comments on Fernandinho, it explains why we were prepared to meet the apparently high price.

thats a must watch the guy knows his onions for sure so glad we have the likes of him very interesting his coments on AF and " lets see where utd are in 12 months " he is 100% correct football clubs have changed, and we have the right management to move us up to the top very top.

Posted this in the United thread, not only is it a vital watch for any City fan, it will also be very interesting to see what happens when LVG is installed as manager.

Soriano states hes an 'Authoritarian Expert' meaning he knows a lot about football and will get results but his people management skills are poor and hes very abrasive, much like Mancini.

As soon as they start losing or dont reach there intended targets it could become worse than the situation under Moyes, with top players wanting to leave and him losing the dressing room. Time will tell, and it could get from worse to horrific for United, which can only be good.

Addictive stuff to watch, thank you so much for posting it.
There is so much into it on many different levels: Leading a team, City's finances and present and future direction.
The bits about Pep Guardiola and sticking to a set of values are particularily interesting after Bayerns defeat against Real.

Watched it last night. Really interesting stuff.

Loved the chart showing that United earned the same revenue as Spurs in 1993. Being on top of the league when the money came in really gave the rags a platform to become a financial giant.

And what did they do to be on top of the league in the early years of the premier league? Spent a fortune to build a top quality squad.

Fascinating part where he describes whats happening at OT now Slur Alex has gone.

Basically, it was an organisation that was built on a model of having an autocratic leader and everything was done as he wanted, he was top dog. Now he has gone, you have a business model without that person. Is this organisational model right without this person. You can draw your own answers by seeing whats happening over the road this year.

How long will it take for them to get their organisational model correct and successful?

Also interesting to see at the bottom of his powerpoint slides it has "City Footbal Group", not "Manchester City". It must be reflecting the overarching group that contains all the football clubs around the world.

"City Footbal group
The best in all the world and all the land"

A very good watch that. Left me with the feeling we are in very good hands. I guessed wrong when he picked examples of visionary and backbone players. Thought he would use Merlin and Zab as examples.
