Went to the tiny derby of Fortuna Köln v 1.FC Köln U21 (Regionalliga West) today, FC U21 with a deserved 1 -0 win.

Just watched some highlights of 2. Liga and 3.Liga matches: @Alex-MCFC will be over the moon with the perfect start for Ingolstadt, two wins out of two matches, top of the league together with Braunschweig.
Shame he's not allowed to post in this thread anymore ;-)

Stop showing off with your tour of stadiums. You know I get jealous.

I am flirting with the idea of watching the 3.Liga encounter of FC Viktoria Köln v FC Halle at Sportpark Höhenberg on Wednesday . #Makecitykev28JealousAgain

I’ve been invited to go to Altrincham v York City this Saturday in the away end. I can’t go however, I’m picking the lad up at 5 the next morning from the airport.

Last weekend the Buli2 started.

Ultras from VFB Stuttgart traditionally opened the season with what they call "Karawane Canstatt", basically a march to their homeground through the district Canstatt (their Ultras are called Commando Canstatt).

Hope they get promoted again, Bundesliga is just not the same without them (and some other clubs).

Talking about clubs that we want to see in the Bundelisga. The german football magazine 11Freunde recently did a survey and asked their readers about their dream Buli Setup.

Below is the outcome with the percentage number indicating how many times the club got mentioned.

1.Dortmund 87%
2. Borrussia Mönchengladbach 82%
3. Eintracht Frankfurt 80%
4. Schalke 78%
5. 1.FC Köln 78%
6. SV Werder Bremen 73%
7. Bayern München 68%
8. HSV 66%
9. 1. FC Kaiserslautern 64%
10. VFB Stuttgart 58%
11. FC St.Pauli 57%
12. 1860 München 51%
13. SC Freiburg 49%
14. Hertha BSC Berlin 48%
15. 1. FC Nürnberg 42%
16. Dynamo Dresden 41%
17. Fortuna Düsseldorf 41%
18. Union Berlin 37%

I could definitely live with that...No Wolfsburg, Augsburg, Hoffenheim and Leipzig and instead some of the old guard back in the 1st tier.

Especially Kaiserslautern would be tasty for us as there is no love lost between us and them.

Yesterday evening we finally had our first home game of the season against Flora Tallin in the EL qualifiers.

The match was obviously sold out and Ultras Frankfurt asked everyone to show up in "white" and 48000 people followed their request which made an impressive picture.

Home end had a banner with "my club" written on it and when the players entered white ticker tape was thrown around.

Tallin showed up with around 50 fans which is pretty impressive considering the cost to travel and the fact that they average around 800 people in their league games.
In the post match interview they were pretty excited to play at our ground as they never played in front of 48000 people. The attendance of the first match in Tallin was something like 7000 to 8000 which was a new record for them

After the match the Tallin players first thanked their fans and then came over to the home end where they were greeted with applause and "Tallin, Tallin" chants.
Some of their players even gave their shirts to our supporters in the home end.

It was a pretty nice moment of "this is what football is all about" especially as opposing teams rarely ever get a warm welcome/sign of respect from our home end.

Bayern finishing 7th would be nice too.

Please do ;) They're one of my least liked teams in German football.

In other news, I may be off to Mannheim - Sechzig on Monday evening.

That should be a great game and Mannheim is always worth a visit (for Eintracht fans anyway). Hope you have fun and mix up the drinking habbits a bit and try the local "Schorle".

Curious what you are doing in Speyer, but I assume University related?

I'm volunteering with a charity. It's an opportunity I found through University, so somewhat related. I essentially give free tours of the Kaiserdom in English and in return, they put me up and provide me with money to live off. I did the same in Nice last summer.
