I'm after a little bit of advice from the German based posters please, particularly those in and around Köln and Dusseldorf.

Anyway on Sunday 14th December, I'm going to Leverkusen v Mönchengladbach, before flying home from Dusseldorf that evening. The match is at 15.30, and my flight is at 20.55. I'll have my bag (which I wouldn't be allowed to take into the ground) and Leverkusen Mitte doesn't seem to have any lockers (Schließfach), so would you guys leave it in a locker at Köln hbf or travel to Dusseldorf hbf before the game and leave it there? I've looked at the timings and although its possible, I'm a bit concerned there much allowance for anything going wrong trying to get from the stadium to Köln hbf and then to Dusseldorf airport in time for the flight. Is there another option I've not considered?

Why not going direct from Leverkusen Mitte to Düsseldorf Airport takes 25 minutes acc. bahn.de
So I would leave my bag in Düsseldorf.
Think going to Cologne first will take to much time.

;o)
So stay in Düsseldorf for the weekend see Schalke vers Cologne on Saturday in the Veltins Arena and go out in Düsseldorf Altstadt after the match.
Go to Leverkusen on sunday for the match and back to Düsseldorf

:o))))

BVB losing at Frankfurt. Will there be a point where klopp's immediate future comes under question?

One of the most scenic grounds around is Aue, strange team really.

Currently doing the report for Eintracht vs BVB. I'm coming to agree with Crystal here; I hadn't given Durm much attention before now, but he's really poor.

Probably not until they get relegated. Poor signings and injuries have destroyed Dortmund. Says it all that he did not start either striker he bought in the summer. Last season their poor form was masked by just how good Reus was. He does not get the credit he deserves, he is one of the top 5 players in the world for me and did the same thing Suarez did, but did it in Europe and the cup as well.

If they can win today they can get fourth. They would only be 6 points away from fourth and 6 points behind their biggest rivals for it Schalke and Gladbach. Lose today and the extra weeks without Reus makes it impossible.

They just have so many bad players. Weidenfeller, Durm and Ginter are actually bad players. Durm has regressed so much. Without any exaggeration those 3 would not make the Palace team. Kagawa, Mkhitaryan, recovering Subotic and Kehl are just average players. It's looking like they have more chance of winning the CL than finishing fourth.

It's the price they pay for not taking the gamble. Sadly I think United will benefit most from Dortmund's collapse.

Wismut Aue - Die Schachtscheisser (Those who shit in a shaft) :-), really a remote place in german football

When I first got into German football, around 2011 I looked at the 2. Bundesliga and was like where the hell is that? Saxony if I'm right, near the Czech border? Wouldn't mind going to that ground though, really scenic in the middle of a forest.

yes, a region famous for christmas products you find on german christmas markets, but a region most germans had never seen in their life. In the GDR they club was Wismut Aue. Wismut was a notorious uranium mining company working for the russian nuclear industry. A lot of their fans still call it Wismut. Also "Veilchen" (Violets). "Schachtscheisser" is a name of a fanzine.
