No city match in germany this summer?

Not as it stands. Not much space in the calendar looking at things.

Hoping for the annual trip over in the Champions League though. I feel like Ive seen enough of Munich for a while so Leverkusen ideally as we've not been there yet.

We'll be over in June for Berlin anyway :)

living in Berlin i really would appreciate the place full of city fans :-)
Leverkusen as a club and ground is a bit boring, but 30 minutes away from Düsseldorf or Cologne it should be a great trip

Bayern and Bochum fans had a friendship in the 1980s. Not very alive anymore, but seems it had survived with some fans.

Think the new thing (well not really new, but replacing Bochum) is Ultras St. Pauli....Their banner can be seen both home and away quite often as well.

Guess the reason is that Schickeria/Südkurve consider themself left wing as well, so its the perfect match up with the ticks.

They will ride into the sunset together, waving gay pride flags, chanting anti racist songs and show their women´s rights banners. :)

Its all about football in the end.....

I'm planning on going to the Bayern vs HSV match next season in February. What would be the best way of getting tickets, as I'm a member of the UK Fanclub. But to stand the best chance should I apply when everyone does or have I missed that date?

I honestly have no idea how the ticketing for Bayern works and if you have a better chance of getting tickets as a member of a fanclub.

At least for the normal daytripper it seems to be almost impossible to get tickets. I would assume the best would be to just give them a call and ask for the details. Or drop them a mail at least....

They got english speaking people in their offices, so you will be fine both on the phone and via mail in English.

In worst case drop Bayern Blade a PM, he is one of the few (couldnt resist) matchgoing bayer fans and I am pretty sure he can help you out as well.

Schalke with a good piece of business selling Szalai for £6 million to Hoffenheim and getting Choupo Moting in on a free. With Sidney Sam coming in, and if they can keep hold of a few players, with good management Schalke could actually challenge Dortmund and Bayern this year. Highly unlikely with Keller in charge though.

Levurkusen look to be assembling a decent team, with Calhanoglu and Roger Schmidt being recent arrivals. Again if they can keep hold of Bender they have a decent chance of a high place finish.

Wolfsburg are a team that excite me, however with Leverkusen and Schalke somewhat strengthening it looks as if they wont be getting back to the Champions League soon. Isn't Gustavo being linked to someone?

New times for Stuttgart as Armin Veh returns, what do we think will happen there? And will HSV be back with the newly signed Lasogga leading the line?

Still early, but it's shaping up to be an interesting season next year.

my guess

For the title

Bayern München, Borussia Dortmund

For CL, EL

VfL Wolfsburg, Schalke 04, Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Mönchengladbach, 1899 Hoffenheim

upper midfield
VfB Stuttgart, Werder Bremen, Hamburger SV

lower midfield
Eintracht Frankfurt, SC Freiburg, Hertha BSC, FC Augsburg

relegation zone

Hannover 96, Mainz 05, 1. FC Köln, SC Paderborn

I have just seen that the Costa Rican goalkeeper and whom many belived to be the best goalkeeper in Spain last season, Keylor Navas, has signed for Bayern for 10m, whether that's Pounds or Euro's I don't know.

Great signing for Bayern but what a waste, he will never get a game for Bayern apart from cup games.

He could easily have played regularly for a top team in Europe in my opinion.

Hopefully Germany win on Sunday and the German fans begin to appreciate just how incredibly talented this generation of players are. I am tired of hearing ridiculous things like Dante being better than Hummels or even Schurrle being worse than Son. Schalke for instance should easily be a top 8 club with the players they have.

I wonder if anyone else still thinks it was smart playing Lahm in midfield. Germany winning the world cup with 6 Bayern players in the starting 11 will also justify my claims that Bayern are the strongest and best team I have ever seen. Losing Kroos is a huge mistake, because not only does he have more potential than Thiago, but he is a much better player with more experience.

Dortmund seemed to have bought poorly again this summer and need a no10. Leverkusen and Gladbach have done some good business though.

I am pretty sure people in Germany are aware that this generation is one of the most talented we have seen, guess thats out of question.

People have an issue with Löw and he is the weak link in the current WC team. The team has reached the finals despite him beeing in charge....

He obviously thinks he is Pep 2.0 and didnt realize how bad Lahm is for Germany in midfield. Once he swapped him back to where he belongs we started to play decent football again.

Player material is fine, now imagine we had a decent manager as well....

Still have a horrible feeling for Sunday and that the Argies will nick it. :(

Not really Bundesliga related but Berlin is getting crowded at the moment as the World Champions 2014 team will arrive in a couple of hours.

nice of them guys to drive their bus just 5 minutes away from my doorstep, so that i could make a photo of that world cup :-)

Looks like Dortmund are closing in on Ginter. Seems like a complete wast of money to me. In Subotic, Sokratis and Hummels they probably already have the best collection of centre backs out there. I know they had an injury crisis last season, but that was unprecidented and they even have Bender to drop in back there. They had a terrible transfer window last summer and it looks like this season will be equally bad. I have not really seen much of Immobile, but I am not convinced about the things I here. Worse they still have not addressed the lack of creativity. Probably worth the gamble trying to get Sneijder cheap.

Seems like Kroos has finally gone. Huge mistake letting him go. Pep will probably continue to do strange things. No surprise that Germany won the world cup by moving Lahm to right back and not playing Muller or Gotze as the false 9.

Schalke don't seem to have done that much business, but at least Howdes is now a world cup winner (Draxler too, but he did not play much). They should have got rid of Boateng. As he showed this summer he is poison to discipline and hard work. Shame they kept Keller too. They really should have signed Ashley Cole. Still lacking a defensive midfielder. Hopefully Schurrle's success should make them realise how good they are. Challenging for the title and getting at least to the quarters should be their aim.

Schürrle? Schalke?

Schalke´s Team

Fährmann (Giefer)

Uchida, Höwedes, Matip, Aogo
(Clemens, Ayhan, Papadopoulos, Kolasinac)

Boateng, Goretzka
(Höger, Neustädter, Kirchhoff)

Meyer
(Draxler, Boateng)

Sam Huntelaar Draxler
(Farfan, Choupo-Moting, Obasi, Avdijaj)

Fuchs, Santana, Barnetta are for sale, one final buy was announced

Yes in the sense, that Schurrle is really not that talented compared to the youngsters at Schalke, but he has a good mentally. If Schurrle can break into the Chelsea first team and make a real difference in the world cup then it should make the likes of Draxler, Meyer and Goretzka realise just how good they can become. They have the world at their feet, but they as I said Boateng is poison to them. I would be very worried to hear KP Boateng say he is like an older brother to Meyer. Those three are as good as any young player in the world and they are all at Schalke, all close to the same age.

The Schalke team is just too young though. I keep saying it, but they should have got Cole, with his wage demands he was affordable. Lampard would be another good option for them. They need to realise just how much hard work, dedication and mental toughness it takes to make it to the top. If wages are not too high then should bid for Pirlo or Xavi (not for what they can do, but for the experience).

Germany could also really do with Werner playing upfront for Stuttgart. They need a striker.
