This contemptable wanker of a club have just completely destroyed their own league, and you know what, the total lack of competitiveness they are creating for themselves will continually see them come undone in Europe in future.

In Spain, at least Barca and Real have each other to force them to keep winning and to keep upping the stakes. Bayern will destroy everyone in their path in Germany and the once former great league is now going to be a total lame duck.

I said this in one of written articles last month but Bayern have always had a tactic of not just strenghtening but doing so by destroying the heart and soul of anyone who dares to rival them. They sign players they don't even need to weaken the opposition just because they have the power to do so.

Then we had Hoeness and Rummenigge accusing City of ruining football.

Hypocritical wankers.

Utter bollocks. It's alright for Madrid and Barcelona to carve up the Spanish league then because their are two of them, priceless, conveniently that gets your team off the hook too eh ?
He had a get out clause, he used it, that's the law.

I'd take your point of view more if it wasn't your club that was whining about our club spending. City never complained about anything.

You got your way, you stopped others spending and now you can crush all the smaller teams underfoot in the traditional fashion by stealing the players they brought through by flexing your all powerful muscles. It's always been the way.

I wouldn't mind, you are winning by five or six goals every week as it is. You don't need to destroy German club football on your path to European glory.

Your an utterly contemptable hypocritical wanker of a club.

The die hard Sheffiel..... sorry Bayern fan won't care about that, did you see how good Sheffiel.... sorry Bayern were tonight.

Buying Gotze from Dortmund will make Bayern even better, but it has just wrecked German football. With a possible an all German final in the Champions League interest in German football was about to skyrocket. Dortmund and Bayern would arguably be the two best teams in Europe and Leverkusen, Schalke and Hamburg would have many entertaining players worth watching. Now Bayern will walk the league again next year barring Klopp performing miracles in the transfer market.

Also I guess this means somebody is in for a huge bargain. One of Ribery, Kroos, Robben or Shaqiri have to leave surely and all 4 of them are world class and would be snapped up by anyone. Gomez may be available too.

In what way does Bayern buying Götze affect how Draxler does for Schalke/Van der Vaart and Huntelaar do for Hamburg/Reus and Kuba do for Dortmund/Kieling does for Leverkusen? There is an extreme over-reaction, just because Bayern have bought a big player.

It doesn't but it greatly reduces Dortmunds appeal. Before we were set to see Dortmund vs Bayern. Two teams both in the semi and possibly the final of the CL. Who would not be keen to see a replay of the Champions League final especially when the young Dortmund team had matured and were a year better? Now it will be Bayern with Dortmund's best player. Then the matches like Dortmund vs Schalke, Leverkusen and Hamburg also lose their prestige.

That apart the league is not going to be much of a contest unless Dortmund reinvest very well and I don't think there is anyone as good as Gotze out there.

On a personal level from being really excited about the next season of the Bundesliga, I have lost a lot of interest.

Looks like British dicks are well and truly out over the Bundesliga.
Yes just like with Pirlo over one game, but like with Pirlo it is deserved. I find the Bundesliga the best league to watch in terms of excitement and technique. They have a host of great young talent coming through and two titans. This is why Gotze leaving to Bayern is such a bitter blow to German football and Lewandoski is probably off too. The world is going to watch these two teams, but after the Dortmund team is gutted they will lose interest.

I'm not particularly worried that Dortmund will fade into the background. Their rise has revolved around superb scouting and a very productive youth system. This isn't being ripped out of the club; they will continue to do this. They'll unearth gems and let them shine. I personally can't wait to see how Bittencourt does for Dortmund once Götze is gone. He is a real talent. Big boots to fill, but I believe there are high hopes in Germany for him.

The fact that they'll have a load of money to spend won't get in the way either. Dortmund didn't collapse when Sahin went or when Kagawa went and it will be the same with Götze.

-- Thu Apr 25, 2013 6:58 am --

I've had a season ticket since 1987 so I'm no bandwagon jumper, but yes your right, I couldn't care less about his whinging drivel. If you'd bought Götze, Hummels and Lewandowski in one go he wouldn't give a f##k about Dortmund.
Bayern have bought Götze because he was the main name on a list given by Guardiola not because he plays for Dortmund but hell, let's not let that get in the way of a bit of self righteous bollocks eh ?

I personally couldn't care less if Bayern spent 200m this summer. The main problem is that members of your hierarchy have problems with City, PSG and Chelsea doing the same. Speaking to German fans on here, I get the impression that if Mansour was English, none of you would have a problem with his investment. Which is laughable.

I have my views on foreign investment, as have we all one way or the other but I don't get involved in arguments about it on here, there is no point.
The main argument here is whether or not we bought Götze to weaken Dortmund as a club which we did not, he was the main player Guardiola wanted next season (and thank God we did get him because apparently the vastly overrated Neymar was next on the list if Götze had said no).
In the 80's and 90's we regularly had our best players (Rummenigge, Matthäus, Brehme, Kohler, Reuter) snapped up by Italian clubs. Did it finish us ? Did it "ruin the bundesliga" ?
Of course it didn't, we used the money and bought more good players and carried on. That is exactly what Dortmund will do, a strong Dortmund is good for Bayern and Dortmund are here to stay, even without Götze.
