I keep a horse in my kitchen, so if for example someone breaks in to my house and my horse, startled by the intruder, dry bums the perpetrator, could my horse be done for excessive force?

...it would depend on whether or not the intruders condition could be described as stable after the bumming.

Excellent, fair play to the law there, 99% of the time they have it wrong.
I hope this is a landmark ruling, and we see many more intruders beaten,stabbed to death.
