Does he though if it means shoehorning a better player, Foden, in as a false 9 ?The reason Pep plays Grealish is for the control he brings to our game, and Pep's football is all about control. Grealish rarely gives the ball away and progresses it forwards. For now that's enough, others can do the damage when they get it from him. Without Grealish we are more prone to losing the ball sooner in the build up and therefore more vulnerable to the counter attack. I agree with Pep, Grealish justifies his place in this team.
