Carnage with you leading us Squirtyflower like Daniel Day Lewis in Gangs of New York
I'm going to my local tomorrow, be full of rags who can never get a ticket and a good smattering of darksiders supporting Burnley
then I shall get a taxi to the ground and try to appear sober to our local bobbies until we get in the ground

then back for a few more after the game and a curry

Sorry squirty, forgot you are hardcore. That's some early start

can anyone advise what the best station is to arrive at? We're thinking Manchester Road one but not sure if good pubs are around there

I'd get off at Manchester Road, Burmley Barracks is in the middle of nowhere, well Burnley actually

Afternoon folks, claret here, from the aforementioned oswaldtwistle.
Southstand- manc rd is where you'll arrive if coming via hebden. 5 min walk down the hill into town. Theres a cracking real ale pub just outside the station called the ministry of ale, which has its own micro brewery. However you may be 'encouraged' by the greeting party of lancs constabulary to drink in the warf. Decent enough pub next to the canal.
Pubs in the centre are ok, many are home fans only, but youll be fine in the 2 wetherspoons. Near the ground youll be struggling to get in any apart from the cricket club. I Can suggest other options for real ale if anyones interested... your best bet may be to drink in hebden en route, can drink where you like without attention from the local knobheads and police...

Thanks for the info mate. Cricket club for me.
Cheers.

Think I will walk to my local watering holes in Stacksteads and waterfoot to experience the local dingles then get the missus to drop me and my friends at the ground!
