This correct. Will be interesting to see how they cope financially. Why did the prem not introduce a rule outlawing leveraged buy outs?

The obvious answer is they don’t want to rule them out -because it may be one of their Pet Clubs next (again!)

Very few positives. Some quirks though:
95% of all Benedictine produced is drunk in Burnley. The local habit is to buy a pint and a “bene“ chaser. The habit was brought back by soldiers posted near that drink’s place of manufacture in WW1.
It had a run down, not to say dilapidated shopping centre built by our old friend Ken Bates, who pissed off before it was finished leaving associated debts behind.
The club used to boast the highest attendances per capita of its population. Many of them came from the Craven area of Yorkshire: Keighley, Skipton and a host of smaller settlements. Burnley was the nearest 1st Div club to Craven as nothing in Yorks fitted the bill and a single bus took people through the Pennine gap to Burnley.

It’s also a very Cheap Night out -£2.30 a Pint (even less) if know where to go etc

Seems an odd step if he is leaving to go to Burnley. Think that might end up being a very difficult job if the financial situation is as bleak as it sounds.

Interested to see where the other proposal is from, only heard Burnley mentioned

Very brave move from Vincent if he goes to Burnley the Championship is a very difficult league to throw yourself into & He’s going to have to change a whole footballing culture & the profile of players.

Agree but it’s a good learning curve and if he takes the job good luck to him but I wouldn’t trust an American owner.

Don't do it Vinny! A club on the verge of disaster I feel. The owner wants some of the loan repaid, no real sellable assets, and anyone not bringing them straight back up is the sacrificial lamb.
