It's a must win game, but then again they all are now if we're to have even the slightest chance of winning the league.
It'll be interesting to see if Pellegrini rests anyone with Wednesday in mind. Personally, I hope not. We should be playing our strongest XI in every game (if, indeed, Pellegrini knows what his strongest side is).
Don't care if he does or doesn't as long as we win.
No matter the result I see it having little impact on the mindset and intensity required to get over Barca.
The priority after Barca and I think we will come up short anyway even if we go onto the game on the back on two wins or something else is the ensure a top three preferably top two spot.
All the top 7 sides in the premiership will drop more points for sure in the remaining 10 or in the case of Chelsea 11 games that is a given.
If we reach 80 plus points I will regard it as a pass mark although the cup competitions were disappointing this season domestically at least and we are a long way off asserting some respect in Europe.
This probably won't be enough to save MP but I don't see that as a problem.
What is more important is how we transition this side without going backwards too far over the next 3-4 transfer windows,
The cost of the current side at least transfer fee wise isn't important anymore.
What's important is we get better value for money than we have since 2011/2.
Only Silva,Kun and obviously Hart and a fired up Yaya are good enough to stay in a side that will compete favourably for our next title assuming we come up short this season and they have been with us along with VK and Zabba for he longest.
The rest are past there use by date or the jury is still out on.
