Don't think it much matters. We won't be winning the league and we won't be getting past Barca either.

Sorry to sound defeatist.

A win against a relegation threatened side always matters and we have to keep the pressure on the chasing pack.

You never know in doing so we might keep the pressure on those above us as well.

Southampton want to stay in the hunt for a top four no doubt about that.

I just meant it doesn't matter trying to prioritise the league game or the Barca game. We should just play our strongest side every game and see what happens.

Why play our strongest side if we're neither going to win the league or beat Barca? Surely what you mean is we should just play the kids/reserves and rest our big guns for next season.

Well if you wanted to risk finishing 3rd or 4th or worse, that might be a good plan. Otherwise, I'd suggest not.

Fuck it, they're all shit anyway (the players and coaching staff that is). Probably best if we drop out of the top 4 so we can tear everything down and start again after such an abysmal season with so much awful football and so many awful performances and such an awful atmosphere around the club.

Clearly you mistake me for someone else.

No messing around - need to pick a strong team. 442 should be ok here too:

Hart, Sagna, Kompany, Mangala Kolarov, Yaya, Fernandinho, Milner, Silva, Aguero and Bony.

Would pick the above back 4 with aim of playing same v Barca. Hopefully VK somewhere near best form again.

All we can do is keep the pressure on Chelsea and hope for another slip up from them which is sadly unlikely.

Burnley 0-4 City

And this.
