The only standard we need as far as I can see is passion and desire, energy, guts, and bollocks. With a touch of honesty and commitment. I'd say Trippier out weighs most of our lot. By a large distance. But hey ho let's keep looking for these miracle players with the standard we want. Deary me.
We're the Champions of England who expect to challenge for the league and CHampions League every year.
Trippier is a good player and will carve a Premier League career out for himself. But he isn't good enough to play for us. Our backup right back has 50 caps for France and about 300 games in the Premier League where he played for a team challenging for both the highest honours at home and in Europe, getting into the Premier League Team of the Year twice. And he can't get into our team.
What a strange overreaction.
Anyway, you're confusing form and talent. A player might be in better form than one of our players but this doesn't make them better players. Being a better player makes them a better player. It's weird that I'm even having to attempt to convince people that Sagna is better than Kieran Trippier.
