BWSL 2022/23 Aston VIlla vs Manchester City

I’m sure Steph will become a coach when she finishes.
Probably high on Emma Hayes list. Steph will end her playing career at City and be added to the Chelsea coaching team an hour later!!
The other ex-City player that is one to watch is Izzy Christiansen who is completing her coaching badges at Everton. Excellent player and excellent pundit and I think will be a great coach.

That fly on the wall documentary “Squad Goals” - about West Ham Women and footballs youngest boss was an interesting watch a few years ago. It‘s still available on BBC iPlayer.
Imagine if they’d done one on Gareth Taylor and City!!!

It's all gone a bit Pete Tong with the ladies team, i thought they's dominate a bit like the mens side
Agreed. I used to take my youngest to watch them when we could, but given City see fit to allow a gormless muppet to manage our team and let many of our best players leave then I shan’t be bothering any more. Having followed City through the dark decades I don’t feel comfortable saying that

Just watched both the West Ham and the Everton women goalkeepers seriously hoof it up the pitch……Refreshing. It brought back many happy memories.
I’d rather Row Z than the idiotic goals gifted by inept defences ‘playing it out from the back’. More Big Sam than Pep I’m afraid.

I’d be disappointed if Steph wasn’t taken on by City as a coach. Izzy Christiansen always speaks very well about the game too.

Poorest team we have had since our first season. A nervous wreck at the back and absolutely nothing going on in midfield, neither defensively, in possesion or attacking. Our new look midfield will need to find their feet sharpish.

Seems we can climb this league - as long as we aren't playing. Just need CFC to give the Dippers a doing over and we'll go up a place. We were third from the bottom after our game - we're now eighth from the top (which equates to fifth from the bottom!)
I wonder how the fans of the Liverpool womens' team will react to the minute's silence?
