Campaign Against Use of the Term 'EPL'

pominoz is correct, it's referred to as the English Premier League everywhere but home. It's all a bit NBA/NFLish for my liking, but it's not worth losing any sleep over. Many, many, many more people watch the Premier League abroad than in England and this is how the powers that be have chosen to package the English game to them, so you'd better get used to it.

No. I am English and live in England. I shall not have to.

Don't know why people get all upset over the word soccer either.

IT'S FOOTBALL!!!

Don't care what Mal called it. Football is what it is.

in other countries it's only refered to as the epl or bpl, never only the PL.

but I see your cause for concern. An extra word is worrysome.

Call it what you like.

I won't lose any sleep, although I might join pee dubya's campaign.

England Premier League
La Liga
Serie A
Bundesliga
Ligue 1

Notice the difference in length?

Now try:

EPL
La Liga
Serie A
Bundesliga
Ligue 1

That's more like it!

It isn't "England Premier League" though is it?

It's the Premier League.

If we're going off age (which is why the Scottish Premier League is not allowed to be called the Premier League, according to these apparent rules) then the Premier League is a snooker tourney.

So, enjoy your snooker discussions, I'll be on here talking about City's EPL games.
