Can you imagine the reaction if we were to complain?? For crying out loud, yes it's a tad annoying that we don't have chance to open at home but all this conspiracy talk etc. makes us appear that we are looking for excuses if things don't go right. More and more we as fans seem to hold ourself open for criticism with comments that we would slate other supporters for.

i wasnt saying complain today when the fixtures are out the club have the fixtures at least a week so they can have a look are air their greivences with the fa and then the final fixtures are released the original fixture list is probaly choped and changed many times befor we see it and for city to end up with this shit is unbelivable NOT by the fa but of mcfc

Fergie moans if they have to play away the week they have been in europe. Im sure he's got his way, what do you expect with david gill high up at the FA.

CITY have seen these fixtures for over a week now, I suspect THEY are HAPPY with them, as things stand we've not even got grass, hence first game away. We might be seriously upgrading the stadium next summer, an extra week won't hurt then.

United at home midweek, well last time we won, and it was a great atmosphere, such a bad thing ??

I'm gutted not to have a home fixture first or last game but I guess we have to just get on with it now.

What I am amazed at is the midweek derby - the last midweek derby at CoMs seemed to have a particularly bad atmosphere (even discounting it being a semi final). I honestly think it being dark and so on just added to it. The following derby with a lunchtime kick off, even following the bad blood after both legs of the semi's seemed to pass off in better spirits. It had the tension but seemed that the banter etc was more in keeping with what I've come to expect at derby's over the years.

I had to a double take when I saw they'd arranged a mid week derby this year - even discounting last season etc I would have thought the derby was a definite weekend fixture even just for Sky's revenue and I'm convinced that Sky must be a consideration given how much it pumps into the Premier League.
After all, wasn't it for Sky that Monday night fixtures were introduced? I seem to remember being at Maine Road for what I'm sure was the first Monday night fixture many moons ago - I think it was Spurs but to be honest that could be a false memory - I'm getting on a bit now.

Re: the talk of people seeing a fixture with us facing Newcastle in the first game I too saw that but it was on the Premier League's site the other week and it was stressed that those fixtures were only put up to Beta test a system and they weren't the final (proper) fixtures.

I personally don't think there's a conspiracy against us. I think the fixtures are disappointing for us and understand why people look at other clubs and see advantages in their draws but I also expect fans of other clubs will look at ours and see something that to them looks like we are getting an easy ride - the fact that we don't have a particularly difficult run in at the end or whatever. Like others have said before - we all have to play all of the other teams home and away so we'll just have to get on with it and no doubt there will be changes so lets wait and see - I just want them to concentrate on gathering every available point wherever they are!

question my opinion all you like, thats why we have the forum. as for the age thing i was meaning that i have seen this bias towards the rags since 1958, more so when they won the european cup(the proper one) in 68. so you'll forgive me for being slightly cynical when i see how much they are coverted and looked after in all walks of football.

my stab in the dark was you have'nt seen what i have seen as you posted a fair if not conservative view on the fixture debarcle
if you have been as annoyed and pissed off as long as i have you(and others) would not have posted in the manner that you have.

the prem, sky, refs and media fucking hate the scum coming second and will do all they can to avoid it.
some might say fuck me he's bitter but truth is i'm spot on. too many times fixtures have seen them ok, too many refs sucking up to fergie time, too many divers cheats and whingers make it more than coincidence. if you want proof look at fergiescums behaivour towards refs and the warnings he's had, have they carried out their threats? have they fuck.

no, they have been the football darlings for that long, once sky came the fa succumed to the dosh and it really kicked in. as i said too many times on too many fronts for it to be anything other than bent.
stick up for them all you want i know what i have seen.
look at the CL ffs, how many favoured draws do they get? go on, think about it, they are proper looked after, to me its too obvious for words.
