i'm not a tevez fan but he hold up a ball a lot better than dzeko

See Mancio - that's where your lack of football knowledge shows.

Carlos is much better with the ball already in his feet, off defenders. He (Carlos) is utter shit (and sergio for that matter too) when it comes to receiving long kick-outs from goalie or back 4, with defenders on his back. For one he is too short, for two - knowing his limitations he doesnt even try that hard.

THAT is "hold up" in a classical football terms, whereas what you probably refer to and what carlos excells in is dribbling/movement with the ball.
Actually, in terms of "hold-up" play - both MARIO AND DZEKO are much better than either Tevez or Aguero, and you should know that if you know football. Dzeko quite often holds the ball up with two defenders LITERALLY on his back -make no mistake none of the other 3 come close in that (Mario is getting closer though - showed much improvement during EC).

to hold up a ball you have to trap it (with you chest or your feet) , unfortunally dzeko and the verb "to trap" do not quite agree

You kidding right? This is what I'm talking about...you either have pre-determine attitude or you dont watch his game...when it comes to trapping with the CHEST for example - he is second to none on this team (strikers, that is). Period. Same goes for shielding the ball. I dont understand how you do not see this, if you really DO watch him play (or watched him before)??

i didnt watched him before becouse i dont give a fuck about bundesliga. since when he is at city he consistently has been unable to trap a bag of cement

But the facts of the matter are, we very rarely lump the ball long from defence to attack.

We do quite often...especially when we LEAD and the other teams are pressing...Roberto brought in Dzeko for many SMART reasons - and none of them are creativity in midfield...we have sergio and carlos for that. Dzeko was a tactical move - brought in for other dimensions of the game which he delivers - yet people simply fail to see that.

Going overboard with that comment, really. Again - you are either not watching him play, or you purposely dont want to acknowledge that every striker makes mistakes and that Dzeko is very good at WHAT HE DOES, and what he is brought in to do...

He doesn't give a shit about facts. His only concern is that Dzeko is real competition to Balotelli so any piece of shit thrown is cool with him. Pretty much same what many Bosnians are doing in other direction.

There's as much proof of that as there is for Mario delaying his surgery to go on holiday..

Just saying.

Edin has done brilliant for us,given the playing time and our style of play,i think he has been fantastic.if he played for the Rags he`d score 35 goals a season.

Some people have already decided Dzeko's future and will not back down even if he scores a goal a game. In fact, some were already saying their goodbyes during the window.

I'm not sure if, due to Sergio and Mario being out, they are getting worried because he may just get a bit of form and possibly force his way into a starting spot. It seems a few are getting a bit precious about their own favourites (maybe a RVP issue) rather than supporting the player in Blue. Heck, some are even trying to compare him to totally different players, including midfielders!

I know where I stand on a player that scores goal after goal, is available for selection at a time when we have 2 other of our star players out and is able to get into positions that give us more opportunities.

He's a striker, that's what he does, and scores/sets up goals. For that, I am truly thankful.

Thanks Edin, no complaints from me.
