I find Edin an enigma. In a game he can be a 10/10 the next minute a 1/10 then twenty minutes later he can be back to a 10/10. For instance last night, generally poor, 1 real chance, 1 real good cross, some great movement in the box and boom 1-2. Then late in the game we are looking for some brilliance from someone, we are all looking at Silva, Nasri or Aguero yet Edin drops off his man, and plays an incredible ball through to Johnson, and Johnson incredibly turns inside again. If that ball were played to Edin, Aguero or Nasri we would have scored. My point being that if he can keep doing the good things, and hopefully more often and bring his poor spells from turgid to average he will be good enough. In my opinion he knows what to do, he has the ability to do it, he just needs to do it more often. It's all well and good saying he doesn't always fit in with our style of play, but the best we have played was Spurs away and he was sensational. Last night gave him 2 goals in 3 games, hopefully he will score against Everton and he'll go on a run again. Everything is there in my opinion, it just needs to come more often. It's taken Milner a year and Barry 18 months to gel in our side, and they have played for years in the Prem, Edin will adapt he's shown more than glimpses, he just needs more of them and to raise it when things aren't going his way. He also benefits when Ya Ya is there, Edin is an intelligent footballer and will move out wide or drop deep to leave one centre half isolated and then the midfield runners will expose that. See the Nasri goal Sunday, Edin's movement created space for Nasri to exploit space usually exploited by Ya Ya. I have faith.
