Cannot believe this

I've always been overweight - sometimes a little, sometimes a lot - and I've never had any problem punching.....errrrr........above my weight with women. Mainly because I'm unusually self-confident and can usually make them laugh. Being smart doesn't do any harm in that regard either.

Moreover I adore women's company on a purely platonic level, have many close female friends and really look up to my mum who is a strong woman who as had a successful career in medicine.

Not all fatties are misogynists.

Not to put words in Damocles' more than eloquent mouth, but i believe he was referring to what an individual may perceive to be their own inadequacies.

Whatever your weight is, whatever its perception to another individual; it clearly isn't an inadequacy to you, consequently it doesn't affect how you interact with women.

Five/six years or so ago I coudl get pretty jealous when with a partner. This was partly because I was cheated on, and partly because I cheated.

I was insecure about my own ability to stay in a long-term relationship, consequently my fear was that my partner would cheat on me.

Thankfully I have grown up a lot in the last half decade and will trust a person until they actually give me reason not to.

Maturing, confronting ones own failings, and working to improve them can work wonders for a person.

erm not really at 231 (cutting from bulk)

You see one of the interesting things about people is that they project their inadequacies on the opposite sex. Everybody does this to different degrees, men and women.

You have what we call "the fat bloke blues". You're annoyed at a group of people for being shallow and obsessed with status. This is because you think that because they didn't like you for your looks then they must be people who judge solely off of appearances and status.

I'm betting a tenner that you're either a fat bloke now or were one, and are projecting that resentment onto women. You're also quite probably lonely and have a general disdain of people that aren't on a computer.

You should think about talking to someone

Blue Bear Boots wants to know how tall you are, how wide you are, how old you are and what is your monthly play please.

She has high standards but is prepared to compromise on certain criteria.

My monthly play? I'm not prepared to reveal how often I masturbate until at least the second date.

I was sold at the chips and gravy :/

-- Tue Jan 07, 2014 1:35 pm --

Actually I was interested to know how old he was because our opinions change greatly with age. AU obviously has a very immature outlook on life and a very low opinion of women but this could all be behind a computer bravado. I cannot believe he would actually make some of the comments he has made in this thread to a group of people in a face to face conversation. Or would he?

That's fair comment but it was Damo who elected to equate being chubby with harbouring chronic insecurities, especially when it comes to women. I've had my share of heartache btw, most of it, ultimately, self-inflicted, but I've broadly retained my same reserves of self-belief with regards to women. Not saying that for any reason other than to point out that what Damo has posted is palpably wrong as far as I'm concerned.

I'm sick and tired of the village idiot tarring all fat ugly blokes with the same brush.
Not all of us are immature misogynistic half-wits.
Some of us are compulsive gamblers, functioning alcoholics or drug users. We have feelings too.
Cut us, and we bleed.
And we are a safe catch, because you will never have to worry about us straying, as no other woman would have us.
Ok, so we might blow the housekeeping money on the 2-30 at Haydock, but rest assure we will never hump 'n' dump.
