Cannot understand why Micah and johnson are not in England!

I might be a bit cynical here but instead of discussing the players abilities it might be worth checking to see which sports agency they are with. There must be a very good reason that Micah and A.J are not on the plane.

We're the English champions and Roy is only willing to field 2 at a push 3 of our players in his starting 11. It's an insult to football and our club.
I have so far failed to come across one person who says Glen 'donkeyboy' Johnson should be in the English squad and at the expense of Micah is shambolic!
However I do have to agree with leaving out A Johnson for the young Chamberlain, he has more going for him to be fair and looks like he is willing to listen to be able to learn.

I promised myself I wouldn't watch England, but I've missed football too much. I couldn't care less the final score, just as long as any of our players don't have a howler or pick up and injury. I will be watching the Euro's but more likely I will want Spain/Netherlands to win!

I keep asking non-city fans what they think of Micah, for a less biased view, to see if i am looking through blue tinted glasses, to a man they have all said it is a joke he isnt in there, most consider him the best English right back, some have him second best, all agree he should be in the squad.

I totally understand the arguement for not taking Johnson, i would have him as an impact player, but see the other side of the arguement. However again, non-city fans again all think to a man he should go to the Euros, most also went on to say he should leave City to get more game time. Something i understand, but i also correct them and say he is a very good match of the day player. Often does something worthy of a highlight every game, but does fuck all else for the time he is on the pitch. He is a very good impact player IMO but i dont think any City fan would start with him in their best XI, let alone Bobby.

If Cahill is injured....does England have to chose from the reserves, bearing in mind they have already selected Jagielka. I assume they brought Jagielka in because Duncan Edwards can push forward into Midfield....so could they bring Johnson in even though he's not a defender, or Richards in even though he wasn't selected entirely, to make up the numbers??

Hodgson is clearly trying o get on side with the liverpool fans after fucking up. I'd keep chamberlain in there and he can be the difference in games coming off the bench, but i'd definatley have johnson ahead of downing. I'd also have Johnson in the team, as i can't think of 2 RB's in the country better than him, but I'd still have Richards ahead of him. Both are very good attacking players, and can change games. I think their lack of 1st team football in the last 6 weeks has scuppered their chances.

i'm increasingly convinced that what they're up against is some sort of technical backroom department at the fa, some sort of quiet back-office operation, maybe even outsourcing to some 'specialist performance consultancy' that's rating players based on the uefa coefficient of their club, or something similarly inappropriate. i'm sure I read that capello was heavily involved with one of the fantasy football providers, that might reveal a common link, ad if the fa had pushed him down that path there's no reason to believe they'd have stopped it because capello left.

I like Micah but two England managers on the run have now omitted him and when it came to the big games at City Zabba was picked ahead of him (maybe Micah was injured some of that time though).
Plus during the course of the season when I saw Zabba's name on the team sheet instead of Micah I automatically felt a bit safer.

So what if Micah couldn't get in the team ahead of Zabba, how close do you think Glen Johnson or Phil Jones would get to the City team?

Maybe Carrol, Gerrard, Johnson, Downing and Henderson are to prove to Liverpool and media he holds no grudges.


Gerrard - ok and probably needed now lampard out.

As for others...

Carrol - can't score won't score. Had a dreadful season

Johnson - can't defend and currently offering nothing going forward. Richards a much better player.

Henderson - Struggling to think of another English midfielder anywhere in the prem that has been more disappointing.

Downing - more disappointing than Henderson.

Well the argument Roy gave for not picking Richards was Jones was more versatile but Richards is better at RB and at CB but this coming from a man who thought Pirlo still plays for AC Milan. Clueless.
