Can't Wait for The Summer Departure of...

I don't care whether we look better without Carlos. Do we win more with him, or without him?

The sampling size for games played without him is what?

So the opinion is based on? Be specific. Be precise.

the day that we will have settled and fit dzeko and mario you will see . we will become unplayable because the two of them play without selfishness.

That is not an answer, it is an evasion. You might be right. I respect your opinions Mancio, and I enjoy very much reading your posts. However, at this point I'd prefer to persuade Tevez to change his behaviour (which, I agree, is sometimes blinkered) rather than remove him from the team. Net, I believe he is a plus.

Plus, my eldest has his name on her shirt (her insistance, as I don't do that myself)...

Would you kindly delete your embarrassing post where your fawning of Tevez seems to put his feelings above the opinions of every member of this board?
Nothing embarrassing about lionhearts post...shit thread and needs binning.Tevez has nothing short of sensational this season.

have to say i agree - there seems to be more fawning going on over a totally unproven balo (who i rate but is nonetheless unproven)

Feck me!! There are some right fooking idiots in response to my OP!! You should give your heads a wobble and think about what I was saying.

Regardless of what happened on the weekend, my viewpoint remains correct. There are those, on here, that believe that Tévez is a main striker!! This goes to show what you actually know. Often, my argument has centred around his choices around the box being poor and that he drops too deep to be truly effective in attack, despite what he has done! This is as the main man as lead striker. Sorry, but he is poor at it in comparison to being second striker.

I also hinted that he would score more if he ingrained within the team. Dropping to his TRUE position of support striker is ticking the boxes that Tévez is best at AND finally contributing to the free flow of team play. He faces the oppo, rather than have his back to them and can get his head up to pass.

I'm happier now, sure, but I think that Silva's appearances MAY suffer as a result. But, we'll wait and see about that.

I think it was the 'can't wait for the summer departure of' bit that evoked some of the responses. A thread about how things can be improved, which I think it was, is totally different to one that suggests shipping out our leading goalscorer as soon as we can. The thread title says one thing, the actual post, another.

your original post had nothing to do with the use of tevez as a different option more alligned with the departure that you could not wait for. as for the above post that makes complete sense and i think most agree tevez is way to greedy.

my personal opinion is that the lack of quality and playing on his own up front has led to the greedy nature and hopefully we will see less and less of this now balo and dzeko are around.

This was, is, and always will be a dreadful thread.

Embarrassing.

Almost as embarassing as his transfer request. Spoilt selfish little fucker.

Let's just take a step back and breathe deeply. One minute we want great players - the next we want rid. When he joined and had a few quiet games, accoridng to the flappers we'd bought a dud! We play him consistantly up front on his own - and guess what? - he adapts and becomes one of the prems top scorers, putting in some astonishing performances considering the close marking and attention he gets from the opposition. He runs with the ball at the defences and they hate it - can't handle it - I'm delighted he plays so greedily when up there on his own.
Now we have Dzeko - he will adapt yet again - that's what great, intelligent players do - and that is what he is.
Preferred it when people were creating threads they knew something about - like sultanas.

sums it up rather well

In the run up to Yaya's goal, what would the result have been if it had been Tevez receiving the ball in Dzeko's position?

I'm actually quite impressed with the pass to Dzeko which Tevez made, but I'm sure the result would have been different in the situation outlined above.
