Capitalism .......A force for good or A force for bad.

No. But he did call capitalists cunts. You said "he didn't call people cunts". You didn't differentiate.

Unless you don't class capitalists as people, of course!

;-)
I feel a Ven diagram might illustrate this point adequately.

Capitalism + fair progressive tax (that isn't avoided) + regulation.

Is the answer.
The problems, as always, are:

1) What kind of capitalism are we talking about?

2) What is, and who chooses, fair?

3) Tax avoidance is not only legal, but generally encouraged by law. Tax evasion, on the other hand…

4) I refer you to Point #2 on regulation.

I would never want to live in any communist country run by a dictator, like say North Korea where people are starving to death, or China where they have slave labour enabling them to manufacture everything cheaper than anywhere else.

You live in the west where if you study, get some qualifications like a trade or profession and work hard you can own a house, cars, have all the latest tech, stuff your house with nice furniture and appliances, go on foreign holidays, cruises. Eat whatever you want.
The system isn't perfect but it's easily the best there is.

As for Capitalists loving war, please explain Putin invading Ukraine and the one in N Korea provocating his geographical neighbours with continual missile launches.

If you hate capitalism so much perhaps you should emigrate to a country more to your liking ?
The US has slave labour in it's prison system a nationwide forced labour project.
The UK has people starving and over christmas inacted new rule changes that left people homeless and hungry.

post WW2 most western countries suggests that there was a decrease in povery because of the Keynesian state compromise and a move from capitalism to a more social state system; however, from the 1970s onwards inequality worsened in Sweden, the UK, Germany, France, and ItalyII because of the new neo liberal pro capitalist economic system.
western countries disparity between rich and poor has increased decade on decade.

Where Marx himself said 100 years ago capitalism is it the only current economic system that works a move to a more egalotarian social system was the only natural progression, but we have regressed to a more fuedal land owner /serf political and economic stance where outwardly we own more comercially but in effect are poorer and more prone to debt in the majority.

basically most peole now work to live not live to work, a back door indentiture.

I wouldn't say anywhere in the world be it socialist or capitalist can claim to be working as a system effectively on the whole, but one Socialist country Cuba that has spent decades being denied economic growth due to sanction still has one of the best healthcare and educational systems depite it's forced poverty by US embargos, not saying the place is perfect I might add btw.

Capitalism doesn't work for the majority , socialism won't be allowed to work, Neoliberalism has sent our species backwards in terms of a fairer society

The nordic coumtries are often held up as good examples of well run nations, they mix both socialist and capitalist economic systems together mainly with stare ownership pf public infrastructure and provare investment is both embraced, while pushimg a more social democratic and wellbeing focuses societal outlook.

Humans a re atill not ready for an egalotarian system (we fight over imagimary gods and lines on a map ffs) so some balance is needed bwtween capitalist and socialst economic systems that work for all citizens bemefits not the few elites.

Now it is the 21st century, and people still believe that "slave labor can produce cheaper goods". If you want lower prices, you need cheaper energy, industrial automation, faster manufacturing speeds, and if you can produce more products, the cost of each product will fall and you can sell them at lower prices to beat your competitors. Slave labor is meaningless, and humans cannot compete with machines.

The biggest issue is that there is no idealistic middle ground. Socialism is unworkable, especially in an ever-burgeoning population. Everyone having a fair slice of the cake doesn't work if there are more and more people who want the cake; and to further the analogy, the thinner the slices become, the further the decrease in the quality and standard of life becomes.

Arguably, capitalism is equality in the sense that opportunity to exploit it is equal for everyone. I think Jeff Bezos is a grotesque individual, but I don't begrudge him the money he has earned. I begrudge him not paying what can be considered reasonable amounts of his capital back into the system gave him the lifestyle now afforded to him. It's loopholes that need to be addressed, not capitalism itself as a start line.

Disneyland has brought joy to millions of children worldwide. But it only exists because of capitalism. It is the brainchild of imagination and captilist venture. We're on a football forum; the sport as a joyous spectacle, with all the glitz and glamour attached, only exists because of capitalism and greed. I guess my point is, many have enjoyed their life precisely because of capitalism.

The question is simply this, do you want everyone to have a fair slice of the cake? Or do you want everyone to have a fair chance of baking a bigger, tastier cake than others? Capitalism is ugly, but sadly it's the only thing that works.
