For anybody South Stand end this school playing fields isn’t a bad option Swallow St between the City Chippy and the Indian Restaurant .
Think was £6 iirc.
If in a rush to get away then the School field beside the Townley Pub may be a better option.

When it's wet it's always fun watching cars trying to get off that car park while walking to the pub next door.

12noon: Start queuing
3:45pm: Get into stadium
3:45pm - 4pm: Queue for pint
4pm: Leave early to avoid traffic

No Blue Car Park. 'Kinell! Where's the contents of Blue Car Park going? Up somebody's arse I hope. This is the biggest botch at the start of the season ever. If Carlsberg ever did opening day botch ups they wouldn't come near this fiasco!

12:05 unexpectedly the system works and we have 3 hours to kill before kick off.

Think I'll bring a book. I'm told my new NFC enabled phone has no chance of getting a WiFi signal inside the stadium.
