Cardiff Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Re: Cardiff Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Champions take on games like that and overcome the opposition by class, determination and belief.
Today we showed little class, limited determination and no belief..

Aguero ,Nasri ,Silva may look busy running around but they create very little. YaYa is one of the slowest defensive midfielders in the League . His only strength is his barnstorming surges forward & I cannot recall the last time he did that...

This was just like watching City last year against inferior but resolute opposition. Pellegrini had no noticeable impact apart from making bad substitutions.

Yes defensively we were awful but we should be capable of putting 4 or 5 past a team like this . Trouble is we waste 50 minutes with sideways tippy tappy crap......

F*********g unbelievable.

Did we ever concede 3 goals after going 1-0 under Mancini?

Re: Cardiff Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Our away form has been very poor for ages now, I think that's our no.1 problem.

People need to chill the fuck out, it was one game. We played bad but it's the second game of the season. We are going to lose games.

No people don't need to chill out our overrated and over paid players need to sort it out

its been one game..... we arent gonna win every game no team does

It's not about the result. It's the performance. We didn't turn up. This was our problem last year. Too many players think because we have a lot of talent and spent a lot of money we only have to turn up and the opposition will lay down. Very lazy performance. Just because they are a promoted side doesn't mean they are shit. We dropped points to Swansea and West Ham as promoted teams mainly due to our lack of urgency and over confidence.

Richards injured?

We could have used him today. I can't see him getting beaten in the air like Zab did, not to mention how useful he is going forward.

Why did we have Zabaleta attempting to mark Campbell for the third Cardiff goal , and a six footer , in Lescott , guarding the goal line ?????????

Re: Cardiff Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

We were not going to go thru' season without losing. I'm glad that it was Cardiff and not a top 4. Hopefully this will give em a short very sharp kick up the arse. Onwards and upwards!

Re: Cardiff Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Has anyone posted a city cost £x million v Cardiff cost £x million xi yet?

Re: Cardiff Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Not a bad result, though a few players were dissapointing.

Better subs next time--shouldn't be any sacred cows, you have the biggest squad in the league. if Yaya is having a stinker, sub him.

Good result for Cardiff, they were always going to come out blazing. The problem for you that Pellegrini needs to realize, are these games that the Rags or Mourinho's Chelsea are going to predictably drop points in? No. And you'll need to match them, so that's a worry.

Hopefully it's a kick up your backside and you'll gain some momentum over the next few games and then smash the RedMancs in the derby.

There is Stoke away coming up which will be similar than this, how you play them will be a good indicator of if Pellegirini has made adjustments.
