Time to drop Hart, the word is out on him.

Still struggling to fathom the substitution of Navas after taking the lead.

Yaya is a player who needs to be challenged all the time to get what we really need from him.

He'll lap that up all day sitting and spraying carefree passes, might look pleasing on the eye, but we need him ten yards further forward.

Sadly, there are far superior teams to Cardiff in the league who have once again been given an obvious template.
Very true mate. I hope you can bring us some solace and say that we are bringing in at least one quality centre back. We needed one anyway after Kolo left but I can see Kompany and Nastasic picking up other injuries this season. Has the penny now dropped at City after todays performance?

I'm sorry, that is just a load of shit. He was poor today but he's a brilliant defender.

No, he isn't,

Yes, he is.

Ok, indulge me.

In what way is Zabaleta a brilliant defender?

Emphasis on the world brilliant. Not "average".

And "he works his socks off" does NOT equal brilliant.

I am genuinely interested on what part of his game you think is "brilliant". I just don't see it. I see a 100% dedicated, committed, professional footballer. One who gives 100% in every game. One who is keen to get forward and gives everything to defend.

The problem is, I could do those things. That does NOT equal brilliant. He is poor going forward, despite his efforts. He gets it wrong time and time again in every game whilst defending. He is hugely overrated, IMHO.

Buy defenders or forget about the league. It's that simple.

The whole team played to slow again this is our problem our tempo is snail pace.
Don't forget we were a goal up against a team that didn't have a clue. Does anyone seriously think Chelsea or the Rags or Spuds, Arsenal would have through away such a league. NO they wouldn't. Tactics, tactics, tactics, clueless.

Re: Cardiff Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Goldenboy Yaya needs to actually run for once. I'm sick to death of him and I wouldn't be arsed if he left. He's just lazy. And no, this isn't a knee jerk, he's been like this for over a year.

Re: Cardiff Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Today showed exactly why getting someone like Pepe on board, is a must.

Cardiff were nothing special today, but we lost, in the main, because we weren't able to cope with their "physical approach"

As most opponents will probably employ similar tactics, when we're on the road, we desperately need someone in there who can give a bit back

It would be nice for some nice calm analysis of the game instead of people just venting their frustrations

Go and get your tea (or Dinner) open a beer or pour yourself a glass of wine, take a deep breath, and relax

Ranting and raving is not adding to the the discussion and I am sure that when some of you have calmed down a bit you will be embarrassed.

We will loose games this season and we will play badly, all teams do but I hope some lessons have been learnt, but it was never going to be an easy game today, it was their biggest game ever, and the players knew it, onwards and upwards damage done lessons learnt
Have already said this but got slated for it. We really do have some embarrassing knee jerks here ffs!

Re: Cardiff Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

I dont know, me and a friend watching the game today at home, and 90sec into the game I told him: City are not as good as on Monday, had some strange feeling already at the begin.

And, most of the team had a day off it seems. Our defense is out of order, without Kompany and Nastasic.
And when Yaya is not on top of his game, it affects whole our game. Today was one of these days.
Silva had quite a decent game, I think, besides hime none of the others did shine, except for Dzeko with his wonderful goal. Shame it does not count too much in the end. And Kun should try to think more about passing.

Hope this wakes up the lads and we go with a win into the international break.

Re: Cardiff Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

That was fucking rubbish.

Kompany out we are shite. We all know we need a decent Cb yet the powers that be can't seem to do anything about it.

Hart, zab, clichy, lescott, Garcia....all shit.
